It's good to still see you doing well mate, congratulations!

I like the idea in principle. However, Tasmania has a rather dry cool climate whereas here in Qld we have a very humid climate. Have you given a thought to a build-up of dangerous mould spores that could be detrimental to the birds health.

You are going to have to cut out enough of the bars so that the birds can access the nest box hole. After that you are going to have to make some sort of door to close this when you remove the nest box. Not easy without making a mess and the right tools. Is it possible to cut a hole and attach the nest box to the side of the cabinet. This would be easier to make a covering for.
  18. Results for this years Nationals will be available via a live news feed, updated at the end of each class. Link is available from the BCT website. Got the link??? I found it. Click HERE
  19. Multiply the two sides of the floor together then multiply that again by the depth of sand. This will give you the cubic metres you need. If you want it 50 mil deep or 2 inches then it's 1.200 X 1.500 X .050 which comes to .09 of a cubic metre. That's not a real lot of sand.

  23. Probably not a lot of semen in a budgerigar but do you think this may be an answer when someone perfects it to the current ban on importing birds.Import semen instead.I believe it is done with animals With animals and even humans they freeze it in liquid nitrogen and it lasts quite a while.

Acrylic paints such as Wattyl Solagard Low Sheen are okay. I used this on the inside of my breeding cages and never had any issues with it. In fact in the times that I had and bred birds, I do not ever recall having a sick bird.
