Agree with KAZ, I'd be looking at semi-rural. Although you are from the states so you might like the idea of going 'bush' and in that case you'd go rural, lets face it what farmer doesn't own a dog or two. Everyone on McCloud's does and thats a true blue, fair dinkim, Aussie show ain't it? I digress... If it was me coming from America I'd go bush, if it was me who's been born and raised here, I'd go outer suburbs of the city. But like others have suggested probably PM Chrysocome she might be able to get you in contact with someone.
