  1. looking great, I'll love going through your other pics. I saw your other threads and commented on them... I am a huge fan of lacewings. Good luck with the breeding! Keep us posted and hang around
  2. Took me months to get a signature and here you are on your first day with one... Great job! and Welcome!
  3. I guess its safe to assume they arn't that closely related
  4. okay... but are all the others showing fertile?? Otherwise what happens if you toss them and the others arn't fertilised? I know my spelling is bad I left in year 11.
  5. You need... Feel free to send him over I'll make sure I quarantine and all that... I'll send you the Yellow babies back and I'll keep the white ones. Sound Good??
  6. At first I agreed with MB and now I'm not sure... The black looked blueish... but looking again I am saying nah its a grey... I guess that means... I have no idea! What I do know is, I need a Lacewing Cock to breed with... Thanks for sending him my way!!!
  7. It sounds like it.... How many dead babies would you say wasn't fine? I'm sorry if I sound a bit harsh but I have deliberately kept quiet in this because everyone has been on your back and I didn't want you to think that everyone here is bossy. They arn't they are really nice people. They just read what is happening to your babies and are a little bit shocked that you don't see these deaths as a problem. And I haven't seen you ask anyone if they know how to stop your Hen from killing the babies... Do you think this is normal breeding behaviour? Do you think that it is just one of those things that happens to breeders? Just trying to figure out whats up with the when your bird is killing your other birds... I would be more :fear and Maybe even
  8. I understand both arguements... Its a tough decision. I'd like to think that there was some common middle ground and Governmet could come to some sort of agreement. You can't have it so prolific that we lose the species in there native habitat but you'd think that catching a small amount and sending some oversea's wouldn't be a terrible thing. the problem is policing it I would imagine, but then thats quarantines job. Its highly likely that some forms of smuggling would be going on now anyway...
  9. To be perfectly honest when it comes to french moult everyone has an opinion. And everyone is right I personally would breed with them again but no one really knows what causes it... Good luck with future breeding of other birds. Hope it goes better.
  10. You would't tell anyone Sailorwolf??? I'd be telling everyone... I like you would take plenty of photographs. but that would be the first thing that I did... Once you have photo's I'd call a world renowned breeder that is highly respected send him the photo's and invite them to come see my new mutation. Then I'd be getting it verified by professors and vetinarians. Lastly I'd be contacting everyone in the budgie world... Once you had proof that it was a budgie and that it was a new mutation it wouldn't matter what people did/said you'd be the first know case... Sell the rights to Readers Digest and make a quid.. lol
  11. What are you hoping for? Anything in particular? Or just nice sized birds? They look good.
  12. Form my very limited knowledge I would say it wasn't possible... but you know the guy and you would know if he is honest or not. Who knows maybe it did happen.

  14. Lip and Len was going to be a Show me and my brother were going to write... Life with Lip and Len... After my parents... when I got my birds I thought one was male one was female... I was wrong. lo. but the names have stayed.

  20. Welcome Back Darryl!
  21. yeah I only have 1 image available... but I was going to say they were more like pet types... I agree with what you are saying in regards to size and things... I see some show budgies in the UK that look ridiculous now a days but hey to the judges think they look fantastic because they have won cc's.
