Thanks elly, yeah i am putting them in a new aviary(no birds) for quarintine save them from being cramped in this cage on first assesment they seem very healthy no stains on vent and very friendly they dont mind being touched -weird?

Yeah i thought he wasnt thats why it was 'lutino?' with a question mark. i thought he would have been a dark eyed clear how can you tell the difference? The baby is lutino, she has bright red eyes and is beautiful and clear. These birds were an absolute bargain! they are in such beautiful condition and have great temprements and they arnt scared

These are my new budgies i thought i would take some photos of them before they go into the new aviary. I was told the first two are texas clearbodies were they right? clearbody 1? clearbody 2? baby lutino daddy lutino? I was told to pair the yellow clear body up with my albino rather than lutino any ideas why? What would happen if you put a yellow clearwing to a yellow clear wing? Or is it based on their genes?

He is too big to fit in the container we made and he doesnt like it anymore i think the reason he is running back and forwards is that he just likes to be out of the cage with me he is very attached and loves to sit on us and get a scratch.im going to buy some more millet tommorow and try the mix of things you guys ahve told me too thanks for all your tips

The baby is fostered and i am not sure how old he is as he was given to me but he is in a cage now fully feathered and flying but he constantly seems to be running back and forth on the bottom of the cage im not sure if hes hungry or if he just wants a scratch? I wil try the egg and vegies and see how he goes none of my birds like carrot for some reason?

Doesnt your bottle have directions and quantities on it ? No i got some off neat in a jar and i wrote down the directions but i have lost them somewhere

I have a baby budgie has been handreared from about 4 weeks on he is about 6 weeks old and seems to be getting addicted to the formula he wont eat millet or egg and biscuit or anything any ideas?And also what should i be feeding the breeding budgies?They seem to be bored with egg and biscuit and greens but they wont eat carrot or apple?

I had that too but unfortunantly mine died at two days old i thought it might have been albino or it might not have had any eyes at all i heard this could happen but im not sure i will watch the rest of the replies because i would like to know for future reference because that is my second pink eyed baby that died sorry i couldnt be more of a help goodluck

Thanks libby its sooo confusing so if i didnt want any greens what should i pair the lutino up with? i already have a heap of greens what about lutino to albino? i guess it depends on what their parents were?

I have a 6 week old budgie and i am hand rearing him when i make the formula up he chirps and goes crazy even though he is in another room so i am not sure if it is the smell or the sound that makes him chirp?

Hi there, Do you have any other mothers with babies in your aviary at all that you could foster the baby out to? I am the member that lost the 4 week old bubs to sour crop and i would not recomend hand feeding as it is alot harder than i thought and very upsetting i only had the baby for a week and i got very emotionally attached.With using the formula it cant be too cold too hot too much or too little the little buggers can get very sick very easily im just trying to save you the heartache just look up sour crop and read about it so you know what causes it and you know what to avoid. Good luck with it please keep us updated in how the little man goes

It is full but it feels really grainy i just dont want it to get stuck or anything should it look like fluid or should you see alot of seed? what happens if they eat to much seed will it pass?

Hi everyone, I have my first 3 and 5 day old babies and was just wondering what the crop should look like? How much seed should be in it ? the crops are full but i think they might have too much seed in there i have been feeding the birds vegies and millet so i dont know why the parents would choose to give them alot of seed? they are growing well and are very active?

BAD NEWS HE SEEMED TO BE DOING BETTER LAST NIGHT BUT UNFORTUNANTLY HE PASSED AWAY THROUGH THE NIGHT THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO

He seems settled now he just did a big black poo hopefully it will pass i know wishful thinking. i gave him some more gatorade and hes a bit more peppy but i dont know how long it will last
