    Sooooo true :budgiedance:
  2. Cheeky little thing, they just don't stay babies for long do they Thanks for the advice, he is only getting about 8 hours covered time so I will start to increase it. Thanks That a good point, at least he is keeping himself entertained
  3. Coco is about 5 months now and he is one flirty boy, he flirts with everything in his cage ALL the time..I find it cute..until today He has been hooking one foot on his toy, keeping one on his perch and rubbing his bum bit on the perch and getting all fluffed up. I don't know if he is just playing, or if he is trying to do something else that I just don't want to know.... Worms crossed my mind, but he is wormed. Has anybody seen this behaviour before, and is it anything to be concerned about?
  4. Thanks Liv. Sometimes lately the are getting light green even when dry, but normal consistancy
  5. Has anybody ever tried Protexin Probiotics? That is all I can find near me - my budgie has a similar problem, poos keep going green then back to normal.
  6. Great photos, they are so cute ! Where did you get your play gym, it looks great?
  7. Nope none of them live inside with me officially... Leroy (cockatoo) comes in at night, but spends all day outside... The lorikeets have their own patio cage, the budgie is one of the tame pets for sale and the weero's also live in their own patio cage Sounds like you must have a nice set up on your patio Down the track I would like to get another type of bird, I am still not too sure what though, they are all so cute. But for now, one is enough for me!
  8. They are both very cute
  9. Really interesting post Libby, all of your birds are beautiful :fear Do they all live inside with you?
  10. It was the petstore the day I bought him, the girl who did it looked not a day over 14 though, may have something to do with it Breeders just right eh? Not a biast comment hey Liv Just kidding, I think you would be right!
  11. Thanks Elly, I love coming to see him every morning at the moment, because he always seems to look different then when I covered him over!

Poor Bing, I hope he finishes moulting soon
  13. Howdy! Coco is going through his first moult and almost over night has grown these amazing new wing feathers. Although they look a little out of place on his stubby wings, he is very proud of them, if he keeps preening them, he won't have any left!
  14. One on the order list for Tam got any colour ideas?? The funny thing is that I have been trying to decide on a colour for my next one for about two months now, and I imagine that it will take me another few to decide. There are so many pretty ones, and of course it has to compliment my darling Coco
  15. Oh, me me me! Put me down for one of those cleaning budgies I am definitely coming to you for my next one :hap:
  16. Congratulations you are doing so well :hap: Very cute pics too Thank you Tam :)when l take them into the bedroom or bathroom, l usually will let them get on my finger and l constantly talk to them, whistle to them and l know this may sound silly but l have started to sing to them too. they do look at me like l'm crazy :Phave you been using millet to reward him? unfortunately with some budgies, they might take a while to be tamed, another member had the same problems as you are having with her budgie too, the member is Elly, she wrote an article in the FAQ section on taming if you would like to read it http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/faqs/i...;highlight=tamealso, since you mentioned that your budgie is molting, he is probably grumpy at the moment but that will soon pass. my budgie Claire is also very grumpy and likes to bite me at the moment because she is starting a molt.please keep us updated on your progress with your budgie, l would love to follow your journey with taming your budgie too.Thank you for that. I have been following the FAQ section article, but I guess I am afraid of Coco becoming older and harder to train before he has made much progress. I don't know whether this was just a silly thought Everybody on the forum has been very helpful though. I often seem to read about people who make really quick progress, and i don't seem to be getting anywhere And yes, i do use millet to reward him, but he doesn't seem to want it enough to jump on my finger for it. He is such a stubborn little birdy :hap: How is your training going? Is he clipped? I know people hate doing it but it make a world of difference in any age bird.Oops, sorry for cutting in on your topic! Yes he is clipped, and we last night and tonight we have made heaps of progress with him stepping up, it is very exciting. Thanks for your support
  17. That is so cute

Good luck "fingers and toes"! I know how awful the waiting part is. My boyfriend and i bought a house about six months ago, real estate agents were so awful in not letting us know anything, so many sleepless nights....

  21. Great photos, he is such a cutey!
  22. Hi Birdluv I have been following your journal and it is very exciting, you are doing so well so fast! I was just wondering though, when you take them individually into bedroom/bathroom, what do you do with them? I am still trying to train my male budgie that has just started his first moult, I have had him for 3 ½ months and we are not progressing that much. Any help appreciated!
  23. Coco did that when I first got him and I didn't have as many toys to keep him busy. I used to worry he was going to snap his legs off :hap: But he stoped after I think a few weeks to a month :fear
  24. I am sooooo glad to hear that your babies are okay Good luck with the recovery
