I think those birds doing the hallway swoop are practicing Military Attack BIRD-Maneuvers. They are planning a night time assault & are going to force you to take them to your millet stash !

Did you notice that in most of the pictures these birds seem to have NO EYES ... you are breeding budgies that don't want to see ? They all look incredibly drunk or drugged or bored stiff. They are not even interested in looking at the cam. Even the yellowish hen that is telling you off. Yer birds have "TUDE" ... ATTITUDE !!!!!!!!!!

I've read that budgies can live up to 20 years. Interesting to know ... but I'm sure that is really hard on a budgie. I bet they don't fly well & are arthritic. Enlarged prostate ... have too wee at all hours of the night. Are cranky ... have a soft beak & need soft food all the time ... live on tums for upset tummys ... don't like the youngins hanging around & making all that racket ! And some of them are drinkers ... like their beer, maybe too much beer. Ya ... poor old budgies. Sigh ....

Sweet Deb ! So you are having a good time with your ex baby's. Enjoy. I didn't know if one birds talking would make another bird speak ... I always thought that the other birds that didn't talk would influence the speaking budgie to revert back to being a non speaker again.

I love hearing that some of these birds live a long time & are going strong. And thanks Liv ... making me do the budgie math ... I can't add 2+2 & she has me dividing 76 years in budgie time. Sheesh .... (Laughing out loud) Poor Hobo ... getting a stomach tumor after having a good appetite for roast beast & chinese food. So sad. Gee's Kaz ... why didn't your breeder buddy have a guard dog at the coop/aviary door ? Keep the cats away from the birds. Sad way to have a long life end in the belly of Fluffy.

When I was a kid we babybird sat a neighbors bird. It was in our house with 5 kids for over 3 weeks. We bombed that bird with attention. The neighbors came back & collected their little birdy & that night they were sitting at their dinner table & stunned to find their bird spoke. FOR THE FIRST Time since they owned him for a year ... their little budgie spoke. And he swore like a drunken sailor. ( my brothers were older & had a vocabulary that made a church deacon blush ) It was pretty funny. So I guess you will be teaching your ex-babies some new words Deb ? Some NICE WORDS ? Hey Kaz ... what is Jonas called ? Colors & markings on that bird are outstanding. Are your birds english budgies ? I don't think I know the difference much. But your birds are so puffy & large looking. Excellent.

Hey birdluv .... What is the oldest budgie you have ever owned ? Have you had a bird a long time ago when younger that lived a long long time ?

Summer here in the city is brutal. There is no airconditioning in the den where the birds are but ceiling fan & other fans. They still sleep tucked up under their wings as hot as it gets here. Strange how some do & some don't.

I like the play set up in the room they have for their birds to do their thing ... so many different little toys to toss & touch ... lots of space on the floor & the gym next to it. Lots of opportunity for their birds to explore !

Of all the members here & there are many of you that have multiple birds. Who has the oldest bird ? Tell us the oldest bird you have in your flock & what his or her name is. Tell us how healthy they are & how they are doing. I'm curious to see who has the oldest bird or how old some of the birds you've owned have lived.

So Kaz ... did you move or relocate ? I was over at your place to pick up some birds & you weren't there anymore ! I told you I was coming for some of your birds. They are beautiful. Big & colorful healthy looking birds. You've done well with them all.

I WANT THIS BIRD ... he is really something else. He plays with everything in such detail. Yes ... I will send a message to the owner on this youtube site & tell em I'll be over later to pick the bird up.

You can almost see him THINKING ... what a cool smart little budgie. I WANT HIM ... I left a message with the Youtube owner telling him I'll be over to pick up that budgie later.

Thanks for the nice words from you all. It sure is much quieter now. My girlfriend & I look forward to the future with him now. My gf was never able to go near either of these birds & now she has hands on with both birds & feels such awe at being able to. Amazing little birds ... I still say they control us. Not the other way around.
