Crusty Cere
thanks Elly, i did a search but could not find what i was looking for so thanks for pointing me in the right direction. it shows a picture of a bird with scaly face but is there a picture somewhere of a females cere in breeding condition so i can see the difference.

Crusty Cere
i have a female who has a crusty cere and i think it is because she is 18 months old and is in breeding condition but what i am wondering is how can you tell the difference between scaly face and cere in breeding condition, does scaly face normally affect the beak as well as the cere.

Sick Baby
i had the same problem with one of my handraised budgies when he was 3 weeks old, he was lethargic and crop was not emptying but would not feed so i gave him cooled boiled water for a day and it helped the crop to empty. i am not sure if it is the recommended thing to do but it really helped him and he is 4 months old now.
