A teenage granddaughter comes downstairs for her date with this see-through blouse on and no bra Her grandmother just pitched a fit, telling her not to dare go out like that! The teenaget tells her, "Loosen up Grams. These are modern times. You gotta let your rose buds show!" and out she goes. The next day the teenager comes downstairs, and the grandmother is sitting there with no top on. The teenager wants to die. She explains to her grandmother that she has friends coming over and that it is just not appropriate..... The grandmother says " Loosen up Sweetie. If you can show off your rose buds, then i can display my hanging baskets."

Thanks MB, i will check them out. If i live in Melbourne i could have had heaps of enclosures but i cannot find any secondhand ones where i am and i do not want to buy new, they are very expensive.

I have been browsing the internet looking for a reptile enclosure but the only sites i know that sell pet stuff is ebay and petlink. does any else know of good websites to find second hand products from. Most of the ones on ebay are in melbourne.

Thanks Liv for the good idea, i might take Runt to my room at night while i am watching telly for a liitle special mummy time. My budgies remind me some much of my younger children, "she's my mummy , no she's my mummy." i have also got another problem now, my 10 year old daughter, who i love dearly but i think was born without a brain decided that Roxy needed fresh air and opened all the windows and doors in the loungeroom and put Roxy's cage in front of the opened window. I was in cleaning the bathroom with my 4 and 2 year old so i did not realised what she had done till i finished so he was in front of a window for about 10 minutes. I have shut up the house and put the heater on and hope the budgies will be okay. Tweety and Runt are also in the loungeroom.

I cannot seperate at the moment, i have no spare cages.

For the last couple of days Runt has been attacking Tweety and Tweety is too placid to fight back. He is not moulting and i rearranged their cage and that did not help. Could Runt be out of sorts because of Roxy and take it out on Tweety. Tweety had a fall out of a nestbox when he was a baby so he can not fly as well as Runt so Runt will fly to him and knock him off his perch and then fly down on to the ground and attack him. i have to keep opening the cage and pulling Runt off Tweety. They had the same problems a few months ago and i bought them a bigger cage and things have been great between. It only start when Roxy got put in a cage and they could hear her. Any suggections why it is happening and what i can do to stop it. I am wondering whether to clip Runts wings so Tweety has a better chance of getting away from him. Runt has also been not wanting to come to me at night when it is time to go back in his cage, it takes me a awhile to catch him. Runt is 8 months old and was also handraised by me.

i glad to hear that a trio can work, i hope my 3 will get along together. I think it will be a competition between Roxy and Runt to who is boss. She already chirps cranky at him if she is cuddled up to me and he tries to come for a chat and kiss me.

I am hoping that the boys will eventually accept her and the 3 of them will be good playmates. Tweety is only 18 months and Runt is 8 months old so they are still young themselves. When i started buying budgies i was allowed by my hubby to have 2 in the house but the rest had to live in the aviary. I had to do lots of pleading to get Roxy to stay in the house, he wanted me to put her in the aviary after she fledges. There is no way i would ever be able to have 4 in the house.

You have some beautiful pairs together, cannot wait to see the outcomes. i think the pieds are very pretty.

I am not sure yet if i will put them together or put her in a cage next to them, they would be out together at night for play. Tweety and Runt are 2 male budgies i have that are very close, they preen each other and feed each other. They also both talk. Runt is a very dominant bird who was also handraised by me but can get very cranky and Tweety puts up with him but Roxy is a hen and i think she would not take it so i could have some fights if i put them in the same cage.

i have 2 other tame budgies in the house but in a different room to her. She calls out to them and they talk back to her. At night when they are having free fly time i sit on the lounge with Roxy and one of my budgies comes near her but the other will not. I am trying to slowly get her to spend time with the other 2 budgies. I am home most of the time as well.

Roxy is better now, she did a better looking poo this afternoon and then after that she settle down and started showing interest in her food again.

Roxy gave me a scare today because she was acting strange but she has settled down now and eating better. She was being so cute and funny tonight, we were having our nightly cuddle before she went to bed and she climbed up to my face and started nibbling on my lips and then started chirping and trying to put her beak in my mouth. I think she is going to forget soon that she is a budgie or else thinks i am just a big budgie. I just also have to show another Roxy picture. Hey, i can perch and clean at the same time and not fall off. I can also climb now.

I am glad you started this topic becasue i do not have a dog to show off but i do have 2 spoilt cats. This Matilda, who becomes lazy and fat during winter, all she does is eat and sleep in her catroom. This is Molly, who spends all day on my video player.

Something seems to be wrong with Roxy, she is so unsettled. She keeps climbing all over the bars of her cage and biting them. She is not feeding herself so i had to syringe feed her and that was with lots of protesting from her.She is not doing many poos and they are watery poos when she does one. Could she be constipated from the change of diet, i am giving her egg and biscuit mix with seed added to it and also peas,corn and carrot.If she is what can i do to help her? i cannot lose her . :hap:

I am so sorry to hear of your bad night, it must have been like a nightmare. I hope that Boof recovers and it does not happen again. Things do not seem to be going well for your budgies. I will be thinking of you and praying that the problems with your budgies improve.

I am glad i am not the only one who is on here all day,i do the same as you Liv. I have the computer on and go and do jobs around the house and then come back with Roxy to sit down and check out the forum. i have had to fight to get to the computer for the last couple of weeks because it is school holidays. We have 4 computers in this house but only 1 with internet access so every time i leave my computer to do some work i lose it. Only one more week to go.

It looks really good and the tiles are a great idea, with the amount of budgies you have it will be easier for you to keep clean.

Roxy is a very messy eating and walks through her food and poos so she had a liitle bath today and it was so much hard work for her that she had to have a little snooze while i was cuddling her till she dried.

Thanks Liv, she had a wash and i did have to dip her tail in the water to clean it but she survived and we are enjoying a cuddle now.

Roxy now that she is feeding herself is getting messy and still is not good at cleaning herself.She has alot of dried food in her feathers around her beak and also walks through her food and poos so her tail and tummy are dirty too. I have tried cleaning her with a warm washer but it still not get it all out. How would be a good way to clean her without upsetting her, she is only 4 1/2 weeks old.

I have 3 chickens and for Mothers day my hubby made me a chicken pen and bought them for me so that is why you did not notice them.Mmmmm, nice fresh eggs.
