  1. So funny I forgot to laugh!!! I found out today that my sister and her partner have spare tickets to the AFL on Sunday... so Dad and I will be heading off there about lunch time. BUT that still leaves me about 5 hours beauty sleep... and with what I'm working with, I won't need anywhere near that amount!!! :hap: It's hard to be this attractive ALL of the time!

  12. 'shakes head and plans revenge' If Neat was a man (or maybe she is), she'd be looking like this at approx 3 am Sunday morning!!! And my dearest Neat... You clearly don't know your competition!!! With eye's like this... there is no way I'll be shutting them anytime soon!!!
  13. okay peoples... some issues need to be addressed here!!! :hap: 1) Norm, I don't have children, so my bed will be awsome and warm 7am Sunday morning, and all day saturday for preparation if needed!!! :hap: (and just between you and me, I have sent a little, little man who is going to hide out in Neat's toilet to collect random samples... if anything is detected, he will slip a little 'sleeping aid' into her beverage of choice... and well ah... we have a winner!!! :hap: ) 2) I MAESIE, do solemly swear, that I will not edit any of Neats post during the challange! 3) Birdluv, who has been appointed judge and mediator (as this time period is her day) will do that, as will any other moderators and admin who are around. 4) KAZ :hap: ... I LOVE it... I will be ready, willing and 'hopefully' able!!! ... and I have heard on the grape vine you'll be staying up too?!?! Can you confirm or deny?!?! If this is the case, I think Birdluv will need all the help she can get with 'no sleep Neat' on the loose!!!
  14. My parents are comming over for tea this Thursday and I plan to cook a roast. We often have roasts at home but never seemed to be able to get the perfect roast potatoes (and pumpkin for that matter)... Any Ideas??? I love it when they're cruchy on the outside!!! Please help me!!!
  15. :hap: ... I have the power!!! lol... She already knew it would be edited, if not by me by another moderator... Neat... behave girl!!!

  17. Your ring around to different vets is an excellent idea... Go with who you like the sound of... but remember if you go there once and don't like them, change. You need to have an avian vet you can trust

Excellent neat... love the photos(especially the one of you girl!!!) I can't wait for the second instalment!!!
  19. Remember me??? This is one of the little bubs I gave to our next door neighbour. She had the red ring. The owners are away at the moment and Mum and Dad are looking after her... YES... HER... She is definately a little girl. Her nostril rings have developed nicely and 100% female. Her name is Bobbi. Sunshine, the other bub I gave away, I haven't seen but am planning a visit in the next few weeks so I'll have a gender update soon... As to Gucci and Dolce... Gucci, (below) cere appears to be flatter, pinkish/whitish... As opposed to Dolce (below) whos cere is raised more and blueish/pinkish/purpleish... The nostrils ring are more evident in Gucci but sort of still a little visable in Dolce... but I'm starting to think Gucci is a girl and Dolce is a boy... time will tell as they develop more!
  20. okay, cool. When you check him out tomorrow night, try and give the area a clean with warm water and a cotton ball. Don't press hard but you should be able to remove the blood and get a good look. Also agree with Liv... watch out as it might happen again and then you'll need to do something about it.
  21. Oh my dear... Naughty Naughty!!! I had to edit it... for obvious reason... AND yes, I will too be sober, I'll just have pure coffee runing through my blood... :hap: :hap: :hap: :hap: :sport:

YAH!! I look forward to watching it appear :hap: Have you got some plans drawn up? I'd love to see them too :hap:
  23. I also don't feed pellets. Budgies don't eat pellets in the wild!!! BUT, this is a decission you must make. I'd go to the vets, listen to what s/he has to say, and then decide. You can be upfront with them and say you are not comfortable with feeding him pellets... or keep it to yourself and think about it after. They can not make you feed him anything!!! Do what ever you are comfortable with. Good luck and please let us know how you go :hap:
  24. Oh AV... I hope something works... Keeping him in Quarintine will not only make it eaiser to give meds, it will also enable you to keep a close eye on his food and water consuption, and his poos... Good luck!
  25. I agree with the others... looking good! It sounds like things are going well now, I'm so pleased. Usually with chicks in the nest I check them twice a day... morning and night. I suggest you do the same, and (maybe) add another check midday??? You don't want to check them too much, but also need to keep an eye on them. I'm pleased he is now able to pay 100% attention to his chicks with the other male out of the way... Awsome news!!! :hap:
