Meet Rusky
Hi and welcome... what a cutie . As Elly said, check out our FAQ's and/or do a search. We have lots of information about taming and training. If in doubt... just ask!

Everyday Time Savers!
As you all know, I'm just starting out on the whole 'keeping house' thing and this is very handy. I too would not be happy if someone poped in for a cuppa... I've had a very busy few days and the place is a MESS!!! I'm not big on cleaning and get lazy... then I run out of plates or spoons and HAVE to do the dishes lol... (I can't believe I just admitted that)

Getting There...
I agree with Elly on both points. With the training, as most of you know, you can tell when they're about to 'drop a gift', so maybe have a tissue or something with you. When they're showing the signs, put it under their bottom, say 'go toilet' and once they're finished praise them with Millet??? As long as what ever you decide to use, use it always. I think as with most training, it would take a long time...but, if they learnt it, hopefully it would be like when you bring the dog inside, you tell them to go toilet, they do, and then they're allowed to come in... sounds good in theory hey?!?! P.S. Let me know if it works... if so I have a spare bed here and you're welcome to stay as long as nessasary to toilet train my two!!! lol

Tips For New Home Owner?
Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you. I have just moved into a unit which I rent. Although I don't own it, it didn't take long for me to make it my own. My furnature, animals, smell, little bits and pieces. It is harder when you rent, as you can't renovate, but you get around it. I haven't really got any tips but to relax, think, plan and then do, do, do

Great update as usual. Very cute photos there too Cara... Budgie of the month?!?! Neat... the green thing is their bird bath- Woohoo! Yayyyyy! Yipee!
Cool... I look forward to it- Getting There...
Thanks for sharing. He is very sweet and oh so clever... also, thanks for sharing your secrets- Crop Needle
Congrats Neat, and hats off to you Libby. You go girls!!!- Neglect!
Yep, mealworms Libby. They are sort of a cross between earth worms are witchity grubs. Mealworm- Wikipedia I feed them to my reptiles but never tried the birds on them. You have to be carefull not to feed them to young lizards as they can eat their way back out of their guts Pie... I can just see them now... following you around as you taunt them- Kids At The Park...
Thanks guys... There is also photo of the play gym and their cage in Taming Gucci and Dolce. Since the phot was taken I have added their paddlepop stick/cotton rope escalator type thing... which they love, and some extra branches, but I'm still not 100% happy with it I have some more branches which I think I add to it at the back instead of having them on the ground. As I watch them play and explore it, I can see where 'things' need to go and be added to help them get around and have more FUN!!- I'm Deciding My Pairs For Spring
Nice I have no idea on genetics, but I'm sure you'll have some nice babies. I must admit, despite pairing for specific colours and mutations, I do like the ones who pair for love- For Melbournebudgies & Nokmen
Awsome... you're getting there and they will get it- Pairing In The Breeding Cabinet
Awsome news!- Different Coloured Feet!
Some of my birds have grey feet and others pink too. I don't believe it has anything to do with age, gender or health, but I'm not 100% sure why it happens but I think it has something to do with their feather colours. I'll look into or I'm sure others will have an answer for you!- Pearce's Budgerigar Blog
Nope, just the pet shop/produce store.- Game: Go Fish
Yes (sort of scared but not terrified) I'm more scared to climb a big ladder than anything extreme. I went skydiving last year. I was amazing and not massivly scary. I was nervous leading up to it, but on the day I was actually relaxed. Do you have a big family/extended family? - Life Of Molly
