Excellent news on your bubs this far!!! I'm very excited for you and can't wait to see more photos
  4. Warm detol hard/arm soak! It will sting but will help in the long run
  5. I'm working on it my luv... care to meet half way???
  6. Well done Deb. I built my lizard cages by hand and I had so many blisters from using screwdrivers... ouch!!! It's looking really good!
  7. A few years ago I got a cordless drill for my birthday... and it's the best present I have ever got! I also love the buzz saw I 'bought Dad for fathers day' lol..., the sander, pop rivet gun, etc... My wish is to have a huge shed with lots of power tools and siting next to it would be a huge aviary!
  8. I'll see how the finances are next year... I may just have to do that!
  9. Oh gosh... I hope I won't disappoint! I'm really looking forward to getting up North and meeting both Deb and Jenene. Amongst many of the members on here, they have become very close friends. I'm sure we'll have a blast and build our friendship and memories further! For those over west... I'm hoping a trip over Libby and Kaz's way next year... Fingers crossed... But for now... it's under a month until I jet off up to NSW
  10. Birdluv... our footy is AFL, Australian Football League... It's different to all footy you know... hard to explain but I love it. My team, the mighty Geelong Cats won last year and are currently doing VERY well again this year!!! :hap:
  11. That is a good sign. Do you have nesting material in the nest box? I use wood shavings. The hen tends to take them all out but this can help her with her nesting behaviour. You just keep replacing them. Usually once the chicks hatch she'll leave them in there. :hap:
  12. SILVERBEET... SPINACH I've always given silverbeet and my guys and girls LOVE it to bits!!! Again, I agree with the consensus, variety is the spice of life! They'll eat what they need, and that is also why I feed seed and not pellets. With seed the budgies can pick out what they want to eat/need to eat...whereas with pellets, it's all just in there! (Off The Topic sorry)
  13. Great Photos Kaz... they love them hey?!?
  14. oh Kaz ... Norm, I don't understand all the stuff about genetics and hope one day my mind will want to learn it, but by going from your excitement, I'm excited for you!!! :hap:
  15. Pre-cooked, then tossed with oil etc... then roasted. I think they needed a little longer in the oven. Oh well. they were still nice but!
  16. Very sweet... and you got that photo up too... Sometimes some photos are just a pain. It doesn't matter how many times you try and resize... it just doesn't work... Are you keeping all the bubs, or selling them?
  17. Footy game was awsome... and we kicked butt!!! GO THE CATS!!! And no... my baked dinner was delish, although the roast potatoes weren't as crispy as I had hoped!!! lol
  18. I wish we'd got some today on the way back home. The people in the pet shop were anxious that he had a blanket to cover the cage so he wouldn't be stressed but it was only a few minutes before Duncan took the blanket off to show me how Cheeky was jumping onto his hand! He's a relatively tame little chap and Duncan said on the way back home with Cheeky sitting on his hand (he had his hand in the cage) "This is the first time I have been really happy since Chester died" Photos to follow! Oh... that brings a tear to my eye... sweet I'm also over the moon you both decided to get another tame bird. I hope things go well with Cheeky and too look forward to seeing him!
  19. ME TOO... for the birds anyway! mmm this is making me hungry!
  20. Oh... so sorry for this hard decission and loss. Biggest hugs to you and your son. ((((((hugs))))))) And remember I'm always a PM away.
  21. Worth a try Deb. I hard boil my eggs, and then put them and veggies into a blender to mush them up together. I put the whole egg... shell, whites and yolks. You could also try adding some of your soft mix to it... as it will have a taste she knows. If you blend it all up she may be more inclinded to eat it rather then dispose of it?!?!
  22. Thanks mate... and I'm all for the rematch in warmer weather!!!
  23. Have an awsome day MB!!!
