  1. Thats great Deb! I'm so happy for you and I'm really glad it's finally happening. I hope the Cubby House move went well. :fear
  2. = 6!!! When will she stop??? Mum, Dad and eggs are all looking good. Dad had a nice feed of grass and native branches today, but was not interested in the freshly made egg/shell/carrot etc... mix... grrr. The other birds are becomming quite interested in what is going on, and have tried on many occasions to get into the area where the breeding cage is. Cheeky things! So... a week from tomorrow is 18 days... :fear
  3. By this... I mean you'll need to make sure your cage is big enough for three, and you'll also have to have a number of feeding containers etc...
  4. Yah... that's awsome. Just make sure your set up caters for three!
  5. Hi and welcome to the forum. You have done an amazing job to raise little Ron from so young. Well done to you... clap, clap, clap!!! You've been given some great advice already, and I've never handraised budgies, so I wont add anything, but good stuff and please keep us updated on your little man!
  6. okay... here we go! The current word is................. RATIONAL Good luck and I look forward to reading your answers
  7. I wouldn't be too worried, but there is such a thing as moulting aid, which is a suppliment you can give them. It assists them in moulting. I think you can get it from pet shops and maybe even online

Hi and welcome to the forum. It must have been horrible to loose your budgies to the snake... I'm glad you decided to get back into breeding again, good luck with your current chicks. I'm sure you're going to love it here and I look forward to getting to know you.
  9. Hi and welcome. You have wonderful and healthy looking birds too.
  10. Cool!!! What a great price. I hope you get it
  11. Hi and welcome to this wonderful forum! I'm sure you're going to love it here. Your babies are very sweet!!! Such cuties . I'm unsure of their sex??? Maybe two boys as I can't really see the white rings around the nostrils as you can usually see in females, but this is very much a guess. Hopefully one of the more experienced members can help you with this. Good luck with them!
  12. No worries! Pretty easy once you've done it a few times.
  13. That's horrible!!! (How to post a link: When you are searching the internet, you just click on the address- top bit where you type in www. etc.... Click on it to highlight, then right click and copy (ctrl c). Then when writing a post, click on the button with the green shape and grenn plus sign (next to smilies). Then paste your link (ctrl v) and press okay. This will bring up another line where you type in what you want to call the link eg. 'budgie on ebay'. then press okay again and it will be in your post. From here I usually make it a different colour so it stands out...)
  14. = 5!!!!! I also did a count forward on the calendar, and if she incubated the eggs from day one, and the first egg is fertile, it is due to hatch on the 1st June! Nice and eaiser to remember :hap:
  15. They are looking fantastic Lib... and I do LOVE those flecks
  16. I have too, never handraised budgies, but I'm pretty sure you'd be best to let the parents do it, and just handle them a lot. You will still get very tame budgies, but they will get all the benefits from being parent raised!!!
  17. Congratualtions... she is adorable!
  18. I have one pair breeding now. Many members breed through out the year. As long as it doesn't get too cold, they should be fine. Also, if you breed last year and all went well, go for it.
  19. Please don't go on, you are making me so jealous :hap: . Any news from the estate agent yet? Sorry Denise!!! Still no news yet. The agent is waiting on a decision from the landlord... It has been a very long week. I'm getting kind of stressed and very tired as I can't seem to sleep... I have NOOOOOO patience!!! :hap:

Thanks all. It's times like these that will be hard for them... I'm sure they will get a lot of support and raise a lot of money for SIDS. Thanks also Libby for you offer, but I have just heard that Archer's family is overwhelmed with donations, so your thoughts and prayers are all I will ask for. Thanks again everyone. Maesie xxx
  21. :hap: DrNat.. You are very cleaver.. mmmm Elly. I kind of got busy and forgot about it... time to get back onto it... Thanks for the reminder!
  22. I've done a bit of a google search... and the general consensis is yes to Brussel Sprouts (in moderation)... but I'd like to know what some of the more experienced members think on this
  23. I did a little search and found Cabbage on the unsafe food list, so I would say that's a definate NO!
  24. They'll manage. Sometimes you just need to make some adjustments to their cage. Square perches, flat platforms etc... just to make it eaiser for them to get around
