  1. Same as us adults freak out about others hair in a bathroom or in food! Bird feathers can carry many diseases and parasites - i would say they avoid them because they know the risks of touching them.
  2. Yeah me too Liv is just short for my name
  3. They dont like their own feathers - its so weird I guess its a natural instinct to avoid all stray feathers as they could be carrying disease and/or parasites.
  4. looks like a male to me

She looks nice. She looks like she is nice a big. i am not sure about show size, but she sure looks nice Keep her and let her develop and see how she looks in 6 months, then you will know there is some good genes in her parents.

Oh..... that one looks too big That is a Cockatiel & Quaker sized cage. I would say the bar spacing is too wide

    I agree - perfect
  8. Breeding a tame budgie will risk his tameness as he will be bonded to the hen rather than to you. It is possible to tame him after breeding, but budgies loose their tame nature fairly quickly if not handled enough.
  9. Put something soft on the bottom of her cage so if she lays any off the perch they wont crack
  10. She is lovely!!! Looks like she will do well

What a cutie Nice of your work to let you have a pet in your office too
  17. Yeah, i feel the same in this case - they only pay $2-$5 for budgies, there is no financial incentive to take sick birds to the vet - and being a chain store they are even less likely than a private one Do pet shops have a vet that visits each week to check the animals???? My Local pet shop is awesome. She lets me in her back room to look at her budgies out the back. Once there was a canary in a cage alone with bad scaly face. it was in there for months while it recovered Some pet shops care , others don't
  18. Oh wow! how lucky is that! I hope he recovers fully :sadsorry:
  19. Looks like a sky blue to me with YF2 over the blue making them green.... its hard to tell Pinkish cere normally means boy..... blueish white cere means girl..... so could be either
