  4. NEAT’S FOUND FACTS #6 Because of the rotation of the earth, an object can be thrown further if it is thrown West. That is really interesting
  5. Is any one going to watch it??? I am not overweight in any way, but i do love my junk foods I am feeling quite creeped out by this programme. :hap: i don't know if i will be able to watch it as I don't like the idea of a live (real) autopsy and other icky concepts ***Shudders***

Copper is a heavy (and toxic) metal - most people know that..... I think they are either genuinely dumb or are just trying to make a buck because copper is cheaper that stainless steel ( i think)

Roxy is looking great. are you still feeding her or is she feeding herself now???
  11. Those cheeky pin feathers are the most sensitive in the back of the neck and on flights. Perhaps just gently encourage neck scratches again by giving him a treat and a scratch at the same time - he should come around again when he realises its not painful.
  12. I'm sorry, but Lemon looks egg bound to me - I had an old hen lay and egg and get egg bound with prolaps a couple of years ago. I was not breeding then and it was out of the blue. - she was put to sleep Warmth, calcium and hopfully she will pass it.
  13. I am only learning about budgie genetics, and what is desirable when it comes to show birds too. So i am not much help in that area. There is soooooooo much to take in
  14. Im so sorry I have lost chicks in the cold before - devastating and i am never breeding in winter again. I am also building a breeding room to protect the chicks from the bitterly cold spring mornings too. Make sure the chicks are truly dead. If they still look pink they can sometimes be warmed up and revived.
  15. an Albino and a normal blue hen Yellow face, type 2 spangle cock Grey Spangle Cock Normal Green Cock Yellow Face type 2 cock and a YF (maybe 2) Cock (these two look like they have lost a number of feathers on their wings - it is not normal to have down showing like that. - Might need to look into the cause of the feather loss) Normal Grey Cock You need lots of hens for these boys. I don't know what you are looking for when it comes to chicks, but you have a nice variety of types and colours. Just remember 30 days (min) quarantine for all new birds

Copper is toxic!! --- Smack to the company who puts copper on bird toys!!!! Just take off the bell and put a Stainless Steele one on instead

  18. I get my 13mm x 13mm from Stratco (harware store) They sell it in rolls in the same area as Chicken wire. They have all sizes and types. It's about $8 per meter, but its quite wide too

  22. I dont think you will get opalines - I had a opaline hen with a pied cock and not one opaline chick - i forget the genetic side of it, but you should get a mixture of YF's, pieds and normals - and they will be mauve/violet
