  7. Very exciting We did things to get a girl too. Gender of the fetus is decided purely on the male sperm, no diet you eat will change that. Personally I put it all down to timing - worked for us. Male sperm is smaller and faster than female sperm, but the male sperm tends to die sooner too. The idea is at ovulation to have as many living female sperm as possible and as little male sperm. This is normally archived by regular (daily) intercourse up to 3 days before ovulation and then none thereafter until at least 24 hours after ovulation is complete. Some men just don't have much sperm of a particular gender, so despite all your efforts you could still get a boy. Good luck and i hope it works.

  15. Get a little LED torch. I got an energizer key chain torch from big W (about $13) and i candle the eggs in the nest, Just place the light next to the egg and you will see right through it. no need to touch or move the egg. The below egg is one that was laid by one of my hens today so you can not see any veins or spots etc. However it has a double yolk so if i am lucky might get twings
  16. Sorry Big Ash, your images didn't work, could you post them again please.
  17. Always tap on the box before you open it and as you open the box, gently encourage her to move aside of hop out he box - careful she doesnt panic and scramble the eggs. She will get used to you checking (i do it 2-3 times a day) and it will make checking the babies easy as they should trust you more by then
  18. You did great with the egg candling . what you describe is fertile and developing eggs
  19. Here is a great link on Canker ---> HERE
