  7. This pair have another bub that hatched this morning :what: Awwww - she IS a good mum - full crops to both babies this afternoon  This pair had their first chick yesterday afternoon I hope its okay, looks very pale to me  - its very active though - she is a great mum so far

 Hit me baby one more time in my pants
  9. See, just why i said to get a second opinion Good luck with her
  10. I am so sorry Personally I think you need to remove the eggs (they possibly haven't even developed yet) and find her another male - a han cant do it on her own as the male needs to feed her while on the nest etc. Get a second opinion first, but that is what i believe needs to happen.
  11. Great news! This morning lil bub 1 is still active and healthy .... ....but not fed so I fed him again and left him with mum - she has until tonight to feed him or he is getting fostered. So bub is either albino or creamino as mum is a YF2
  12. Thanks so much for your replies, for now I decided to leave the bub with mum as she is sitting well and i gave it a feed. I will see how it is in the morning and if she is still not feeding then i will probably foster it out before tomorrow night.

Go fish - too creepy for me Are you looking forward to daylight savings starting tomorrow?
  14. The goofy hen hasn't fed the bub. I have given it a feed of Libby's crop milk, but now i am really worried about is its going to be 1 degree tonight (of all nights!!) Do i foster it off tonight or leave it?? Both parents are first timers Another bub hatched this afternoon This time to this pair This baby has already been fed :happy-dancing:
  15. he will need the added heat untill he stops looking fluffed up.
  16. Awwwwwww Very adorable
  17. Keep the lamp on all night if you can - the warmth will do him lots of good.
  18. Thanks BL, I am sorry to report, the double yolker has shown no signs of fertility at all - but it is still in the nest, because you just never know :happy-dancing:
  19. I say it is a hen. a closer photo will tell for sure, but i see iris rings too so i think your budgie is about 12 weeks or so. She is probably very close to her first moult too.
  20. I was very lucky. I was hoping that i would get a chance to see one hatch at least, but i never expected it to be the first one too - it has made my day I will check it again before dark armed with Libby's famous crop milk, just in case she hasn't fed yet.
  21. AWWWW :happy-dancing: Congratulations!!! What an adorable family I cant wait to see them all feathered up
  22. This hen was the first to start incubating - Its her first time and she was so excited that she didn't want to stay out of the box while i took pictures. I hope she does a good job.
  23. Give regular budgie seed, millet, grated veggies and some egg and biscuit mix on the bottom of the babies cage. Give it a heat lamp of 25-40 watts as well as it could be quite stressed, possibly ill. Can you post a picture?
  24. Congrats!!
  25. Hello and welcome. So sorry your male flew away Keep a close eye out as many birds have come back even as long as 5 days after escaping. The mum should be fine on her own with the babies - just keep lots of food on the ground for them to learn to eat. I hope all goes well. I'd love to see photos if you can post any
