Last Lot Of Breeding Results
Probably not. These are 2 of the birds that we got from the so called expert breeder last year that sold us all his **** (when we didn't know better) The hen is a late 04 bird and the cock is an 05 bird. The photo of Bumble Bee is a bit old now - he is a mini me of his Dad.

Most Eggs And Babies...
Seven eggs has been our largest clutch laid but they were all clear. Second largest was 6 and the hen threw the first one out and the other five hatched and were raised by just the hen from 1 week onwards as the cock got really aggressive with her. They are 7 months old now But then again we have only been breeding since last September/October

A New Pair
Yesterday my husband had to deliver a rabbit hutch that we had sold and took my 9 year old son with him (big mistake...lol) He has wanted his own pair of budgies for ages but I just hadn't got around to getting him any. Long story short the man that got the rabbit hutch breeds budgies and he bought a pair home with him. I think the hen is a Yellowface skyblue cinnamon wing and the cock is a skyblue opaline?? The guy said they are give or take a week either side of 3 months but I think they are a bit older?

Hen With Dropped Wings?
This is our little hen Custard, she's about 10 months old and finished a moult about 3 weeks ago and since then she has always sat with her wings dropped down by her sides? She eats and flys fine with no other problems. Just wondered if anybody knew what it was?

Average Age Budgies Leave The Nest
I have had 3 chicks in the nest, the youngest is almost 6 weeks and they just refused to leave the box. I would put them in the bottom of the cage and they would fly straight back to the nest box. I know they can eat themselves, have seen them cracking seed and eating the vegies but they just go back to the nest box and squawk for the hen to go and feed them. She is looking very tired and thin so today I have put them in the nursery cage with 3 others that are a bit older and although they weren't happy they seem to be doing fine, I'll just keep a close eye on them for the next few weeks. Little devils
