  10. Sorry for your losses Missylu, I know how devastating it can be. Hope it turns out to just be a one time loss for you and nothing more sinister.
  11. Can someone tell me if this is a type 1 or type 2 Yellowface Grey Normal Cock? There is only yellow on the face no wear else on the body.
  12. Just wondering how everybody served there fruit and vegies to their birds? I have always finely sliced the greens and grated carrot, fruit etc. When I was in the fruit and vegie shop yesterday I was speaking with a lady who said oh no you just put chunks of the vegies in you don't cut them up?? Am I doing the wrong thing?
  13. Beautiful photos
  14. They look so gorgeous Libby.
  15. Thought it was time to update it so everyone wasn't getting lost - hope that's okay? Look out!! It's... down Penny Lane . Heading toward us were two very ,very, very, VERY drunk old men! The old men took off their shoes and went slowly tiptoeing along scorching train tracks ... their feet were black and blue and very sore. Then they met a travelling circus and felt like dancing with elephants until one of them happened to get inside a empty land rover a time machine they went back to a time where dinosaurs live......... Being the bottom of the food-chain :hap: they climbed back into the water where they plunged into slimy purple... trip over the alien and said Oh dear it's
  16. They look great Daz. There is something nice, clean and crisp about white. Great job.
  17. These are the photos of the babies we got last week, just guessing on mutations - please correct me if I'm wrong. Violet Normal Hen Albino Hen (Eyes look more plum than red?) Skyblue Normal Cock Yellowface T2 Blue Oplaine Cock Yellowface T1 Grey Normal Cock (not sure on the type 1 - there is no other yellow on the bird except face)
  18. These are the parents (after vegies haha) and below are photos of the oldest chick - is a green normal possible from this match? The pin feathers are coming through on the body but some look green and some look blue?? Second pair had 2 hatched: 3rd pair laid a second clutch and so far 2 have hatched, the little one at the front was only 20 minutes old when I took the photo.
  19. My brother in law arrived last night with a car magazine in his hands, nothing unusual for him so I didn't take much notice but heard him say to my husband "You should see the spread in this magazine about a Hearse"! My husband says to me is this the one you were telling me about and I said yes that's it. My brother in law was drooling over it and it got worse when I told him that you'd bought another one...hehee :hap: By the way it is a great article Kaz and love the photo of you

  23. I use split rings for the simple reason that we only breed to increase our flock and by ringing them I can avoid inter breeding.
