  10. Congratulations, it's so exciting when the first one hatches and the others too
  11. There is no grey on her wings, it is definitely pale violet on her wings.
  12. I had thought that chick 1 was a blue at first but the wing colors put me off that idea, that's why I said green normal??

  16. I will try later, camera batteries are on charger now. Eyes are black
  17. I would say it's more grey than brown.
  18. I wouldnt give a budgie anything with artificial colouring in it Make your own ....MINERAL BLOCKS Ingredients equal parts of, Plaster of Paris (available at craft shops or Pharmacy) Calcium Carbonate Garden lime Method Mix these together with enough water to make mixture similar to pouring custard (don't have it too wet). Pour into containers/moulds and add a piece of wire shaped like a U. Have about 2" protruding from the top, this is used to attach the block to something in the aviary. For moulds you can use :- Plastic cups, muffin tins, empty fast food containers. Allow to dry before removing from the mould. You can also add your own vitamin or minerals or maybe a little grit to this mix. Note : the calcium MUST be "calcium carbonate". Where would you buy the Calcium Carbonate from?
  19. I didn't use the flash on the photos. The wings are pretty much as the pictures show. Yes she does have the violet on her rump.
  20. Parents: Chick 1: A green normal (I think). He has been to the vet twice. First time was when he fell out (or mum pushed him out of the next box at 15 days old) his leg and foot didn't look right so off to the vets. It was a locum vet and she put a splint on it and when we went back 10 days later to see the normal vet he was disgusted, the way she put the splint on had dislocated his hip and it had set like that. Vet said surgery would correct it and he would cover the cost as it was there mistake. Still deciding if we will go down that road as it isn't affecting his health and he is managing to perch kind of. Chick 2: An ino who died at 2 days old - mum wouldn't feed and the 2 foster mums I tried it with pushed it aside as well. Chick 3: Not sure what color this is classed as? Chick 4: An ino DIS Chick 5: An ino DIS Chick 6: A Yellowface Skyblue Normal (I think) Some photos of Chicks 3 and 6 in the nest box:
  21. This is a female budgie that I bought last weekend. She is very pretty but photos not showing it very well. She is a pale violet on the belly and her wings are white with the pale violet scalloped bits (if that makes sense?)
  22. I like this picture...I think its cute Looks like he's day dreaming of the day he gets out of that cage
  23. Good luck in your searching Maesie, I'm sure you'll find just what you're looking for
