  1. I'm sure you will get there with your pairing up Renee. All good things take time. May you breed fabulous show birds and give Kaz a good run at the shows

  5. We have quail in all our avairies and have no problems, except when the eggs hatch then you have to remove the male. If you don't want to breed them I wouldn't get a pair They appear to be very over sexed birds We have sand over concrete pavers.
  6. Beautiful birds Kaz. I will be watching what the chick outcome is as I have a pair almost identical to put down next year when they're old enough.
  7. I put a pair down 3 weeks ago. They have been mating continuously and the hen has been spending time in the nest box for about 2 1/2 weeks but hasn't laid any eggs?? Do I wait a bit longer or remove them?
  8. Woo Hoo congratulations Granny AV

  13. I can't understand why it takes someone reporting animals for sale for ebay to remove them. It only took them 10 minutes to remove one of my items as I said that I would accept COD and do not pay be Paypal - apparently you're not allowed to say you won't accept Paypal but you can list animals ??

This is a gorgeous photo, you should enter it in the budgie of the month competition. You should be very proud of your avairy you have done a spectacular job.
  18. Can anybody tell me how much they are paying for hulled oats? What is a good price? I got some in town last week $6 for 2kg. I inquired today at my local stock feed and they said they could get me some in and they would be between $1 - $1.50 per kg, so I ordered 10kg.
  19. How'd you get 10 for number 1? Number 2 can only be one thing, you cheated with 3.
  20. 1. Thirty birds sit on the upper branches of a tree. If a so-called sportsman, fires a volley of buckshot and kills one half of two thirds of them. How many birds would be left? 2. What is it you sit in, sleep in and brush your teeth with?
  21. Mmmmm cancelled.....I'm thinking Maesie just wanted to get a good night's sleep to go and watch the Mighty CATS play :hap: Only joking, glad you're feeling better. There is nothing worse than a migraine, I haven't had one for a long time - touch wood

  25. okay I caught a couple of the cockatiels today and there leg rings are different to the club ones on budgies. The green one has initials and 96 and the red one has initials and 91. Surely they aren't 12 and 17. The woman was still breeding them??? Anybody shed any light on the leg rings?
