  1. Link didnt work for me :fear
  2. Pair 1 you will get all green unless humphrey is split to sex linked/other genes... and i can't tell if Milly is a cinnamon or not? but if so all cocks will be split to cinnamon from that pairing... Pair 2 all green birds unles your clearwing is split blue... and also depends on other splits in the mix... all chicks split to clearwing and blue Pair 3 will be normal blues and Yf normal blues possible violets if she is carrying the violet gene all split to recessive pied and fallow once again... depending on other splits they have :fear
  3. You and me both :fear
  4. hehe very cute!!! what's next? "i look a pillock?" :fear i love it when he does that :D
  5. For that budget there will be plenty of Cages avaliable to you, especially ones of good quality... Just check out your local shops... they should carry something worthwhile
  6. After their first eggs were fostered, but DIS this pair were allowed to re-lay... They laid 6 in total, 5 in the nest and 1 out the nest, which cracked... As of today we have 3 Babies!!!!! they're absoloutly gorgeous, the mother is feeding them well and hasn't messed up once yet, which we're really proud of with her being a new mum and all
  7. *libby* replied to Max101's topic in Breeding Tips
okay... Definatly a cock and hen... The cage set up isn't suited to breeding though, nor housing Two budgies... It's too high and not wide enough... The nest box should be connected to a wider cage higher up and there should be more than one perch for them to be able to jump inbetween and give them some exercise atleast! Sorry KAZ posted at the same time!
  8. Slate/tiles ? or just plain concrete? But i can imagine it would be quite... Drafty for them :S
  9. Hiya!!! Great to see you
  10. Looks like a hen to me, but recessive pieds always get me Congrats on your new bub!

    Hen from me too
  12. hehe so cute!!! the "4 stooges"
  13. Perhaps some pictures, a few of us are familiar with tiels and may be able to help with mutations, ages and sexes... as some tiels can't be visually sexed... I also think you'll find your tiels (if they are of breeding age and opposite sex) would prefer a box over a log, there's many requirements that they'll find they dont have in a log, and won't fancy using it due to that.
  14. Yes i'd say limit them to one room... It may be very stressful however for them to be chased around the room for hours when it becomes "bed time"... Perhaps look into the least amount of stress levels raised ways of catching them, e.g. a quick netting, or a spray with a water bottle, making them heavy and easy catchable, but this all depends on time of day/night, weather, the room contents ect. good luck
  15. Gorgeous!!! i love them all especially baby and berry!
  16. Generally if they're not from the same place, the quarantine rule is to keep them seperate as one may be infected whilst the other isnt... but if you only have one cage, there's not really a whole lot you can do about it i guess, other than treat them both with wormer and such when they get in Sunnie on the forums knows a few places in S.A. to get birds, perhaps she could connect you with someone who has a Yf hen that is of age ... less waiting, as otherwise it's a long wait before you can breed the new baby hen
  17. Glad to hear they're both doing well
  18. Looking good he's a cutie the TCB!!! woops, i mean SHE
  19. *libby* replied to Julie's topic in Aviaries
Good luck with your new aviary I've never persoanally heard of washing it down before, but then again we built our aviary last summer before i joined this forum, the one before that was second hand.... Hope your aviary turns out well
  20. Glad you got your bubba home I personally clip wings for a certain birds that need it also, my weero who nearly caved his own head in received a clipping, to save his own life but then i have a budgie who's very cautious of the walls and windows who's never needed clipping, difference was he was hand reared from before his eyes were open The agro yelloing at you chirps are all natural for a younger budgie, eventually they grow out of it Good luck with your bubba, i hope it becomes really tame for you
  21. I don't notice a change in my birds with the seasons... The light changes and they go by the lights.... Sun up, birds up... Sun down, birds down so it does become earlier or later especially now with daylight savings, but still the same rules
  22. Gorgeous, i love dusty's colouring!!!!!!!
