  1. As all know i'm not strict on quarantine...... Which is highly frowned upon... But since she's been quarantined for a while already I personally would drop the last week of and add her to the aviary before she kills herself... i trust that your thought of adding her to the aviary means you feel she's fighting fit and healthy... so why not.... or else you may have a snapped neck on your hands soon :S
  2. Great picks Dave
  3. He's adorable! i think he has great feathers! any update pics?
  4. Frodo's a Fallow liv... So yeah he's got special genes... These aren't his parents, but i threw in pics of him for people to check up on his development... Why i named him frodo... i don't know... i think coz fallow sounds like fellow... like lord of the rings "the fellowship of the ring" Hahaha well.. That's my reasoning
  5. haha i LIKE IT!!!! precious it is!
  6. A really adorable picture of One of my newer babies She's unnamed... But we think it's like she's saying her "prayers" in this picture and thought it was adorable!!! P.S. Yes she does have a tail... it's tucked behind her
  7. Hi guys... Here are the updated pics of my first show chicks bred What do you all think... The sky blue normal has been named Phat tony/i The violet bob has named "the fonz" and we're still searching for a name for the sky violet opaline hen And also lets not forget.. the Fallow chick who has been named "frodo" regardless of sex - the mummy! - the daddy! All three chicks The unnamed sky-violet opaline hen Phat tony/i The "Fonz" (in the middle) And the Fallow chick Frodo! And a cute piccy... Five in the bed!
  8. Possibly :S who knows... we'll all have to wait and see if it's beak "grows" normally It looks as though it would be quite soft atm :S How old is the budgie and can it eat properly budgiegirl013?
  9. Agree with that point Kaz, there's definatly something in the leaves that they "want" and know is "good" for them... I haven't lost a bird since i've been feeding them natural branches *touches wood*
  10. *libby* replied to kathym1977's topic in Budgie Pictures
Sorry kathy... I've had to resize your pictures due to board regulations Nice photo's By The Way.. he looks like he's having fun !!!!
  11. i've only recently started using Some kinds of suppliments (calcivet. multi vitamin and a few others) but i too beleive that treating our birds for NO actual illness is not the best thing in the world... I'm yet to encounter cocci... and in the event i'm sure the opinion of using drugs would change should i be losing my flock... but for now... i only use what is required... when required... and generally only vitams/minerals ect. which i see in my eyes the exact same thing as providing fresh fruit and veg for them and calcium bells and so on (which i also do)
  12. haha sounds like fun! Lucky chick dip!

  18. *libby* replied to Enna's topic in Cage Discussion
I think the cage is excellent for birds! But does it house all 5 budgies and 2 cockatiels :S ? You'd be better off with this one than a double stacked one... even if it is a bit too large for the room it's in or the door it passes through... perhaps start cleaning it in the room and placing it by an open window for fresh air/sunlight... P.S. For small amount of seed husks a vacuum can come in handy :wine
  19. haha cute photo's!!! i love your yellow bird holding the cable tie!!! haha cute picture!
  20. I've never seen one like that also... Very odd... it does seem with time and growth it could possibly grow normally though :S ...
