  2. looking great!!! i love the pics! She has such an odd profile shot! i can't work out whether her beak is odd or her forehead is! She definatly suits her name
  3. Congrats!!! Great shot!
  4. Hi and welcome :hap: I'm guessing Little em is the recessive pied (yellow) bird in your picture.... Recessive pied cocks don't get a blue cere like normal males and by the feeding behaviour you've mentioned could quite possibly be male Male recessive pieds keep a pink/pale whitey blue cere their whole Life unlike normal males of other mutations.. Do you have any close up pics of the cere? As kaz has mentioned, well done on posting your pics the right size Glad to have you here
  5. sounds wonderful!

The white ant powder you can sprinkle around the exterior perimitor of the aviary... they collect it and take it back to their hills ot eat and it kills them works wonders!!!!!

Hi Guys... As of yesterday i am the owner of Another 8 birds A friend of mine had to sell his lot (11...3 had already been sold) as they were having night frights and his neighbours were complaining.... i said i could provide them with a new home for a very cheap price ($150... he chose it) The lot He gave me ALOT of extra stuff which i was VERY suprised and pleased with... all up i don't even want to think about all the stuff he gave me and how much it would be worth We got 5 kg of trill seed a large wooden perch ladder, 4 rope swings, numerous toys, 6 perch brackets, 3 packets of split rings, 15 budgie books! (excellent ones) 2 x double pine brand new nestboxes and a Flourescent glow in the dark perch/night light... i don't even want to think bout how much He paid for all of it :yellowhead: I tried to give him more money for it all but he would not take it :hap: But anyway ... What do you all think of the new birds Here are some pics Names would be appreciated! http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff16/1libby/b1-1.jpg An albino Cock...I think he's quite a pretty boy A recessive pied cock.. Although it Can look like a hen front on it looks like a cock A texas clearbody Cock!!!! My first a What i think is a nice lutino hen This boy is absoloutly stunning!!! BUT... according to his ring is rung in.... 1997 !!!! a grey-green opaline spangle hen a Df spangle cock and last but not least a green split to recessive hen Oldest ring aside the blue boy is gold which is 06, so with any hope we'll be able to breed some of these gorgeous birds Let me know what you all think sorry guys, two had to be made links... (photo bucket was being a pain!!! )
  13. Don't forget with the wet food mix you're giving them also give them greens as often as possible and normal seed and water supply
  14. Well she appears to be a DF dominant pied if that helps :hap: so all chicks (presuming she did mate with bg) Will be Sf dominant pieds 50% spangles 50% normal dom pieds... all blue series :hap: i think by rules they're meant to be cobalts good luck i hope he's the daddy :hap:

  20. Good news Liv, glad to hear she's feeling better... I know what you mean about thinking they're always on their last legs... i have a 10+ yr old bunny :S i always presume he's on his last legs..... worries me sick, but i'm coming to terms with the fact i'll be losing him soon... unfortunatly
  21. A light in a small cage for warmth, with snuggly material to make her comfortable Has she eaten? she may need a boost of food via crop needle if she's not strong enough to eat?
  22. looking forward to them :hap: How generous of the government to allow you to use your hose after 4pm sunday P.S. i'm only joking... i understand water restrictions
  23. Phat tonI it may be then The fonz was named it only becuase of the sleeked back hair look Great news on your fallow Norm... You better be showing some pics of when bubs come My fallow pair have just been put down for their second round .... i hope precious doesn't go crazy i was quite partial to that name already :hap:
  24. mostly all good news Norm... i know how you feel about adults attacking chicks... of the two fallow chicks born we lost the youngest to it's mothers bites :S She was angry at us for checking the nest box and attacked the chick in her way... She was latched onto the back of it's head and would not let go... To get her off it we swatted her out of the nest box still attached to him into the open air then netted her :S We tried to save/treat him but his wounds were too bad to help with unfortunatly I do not blame the hen as we know it was our fault for "P**ssing" her off... Better luck next time eh Glad to hear your good news though
