She's been named JUBE by bob after the lollies she reminds him of LOL I'm not sure either Norm... she's a toughy... perhaps it's a fluke and she'll moult it out although i'm hoping she won't

Spangle Creamino?
The mums the spangle I beleive it to be ino not fallow because the mums not fallow or split Other than the coloured spangling on it, it is exactly the same as a normal creamino

I Clipped George's And Franklin's Wings
they'll get over it in time Some time they become to much to handle and a clipping is essential... although i don't blame them for being a bit moody

Spangle Creamino?
funny you should mention that it's a heinz mix! from a pet type fallow father who was paired to a yf2 spangle recessive pied mother They hatched 4 chicks, three recessive pieds and one creamino, two of the recessive pieds are yf, the other is green... and all are opaline... So i know the dads split blue, opaline, ino and recessive pied Not bad genes for a fallow eh

Spangle Creamino?
Hi guys... Random question for you all, i'm aware you can get ino's masking spangle but is it possible to have a spangle ino... although they sound much the same, i mean literally a ino showing spangling... I have a creamino at the moment in the nest who literally appears to be a spangle creamino... the yellow colour washing over her body actually spangles on her feathers...? Here's two pics for you... - head feathers - Back Let me know what you think, or if this is normal... this is my only creamino who's ever shown this

Very Protective Hen
Don't forget though, be extremly careful when harassing a hen who is breeding. Although she may seem to be attacking you it can easily be switched towards the chicks if they get in the way of her attacking you. I lost one of my favourite, most desired chicks from an aggrivated hen who took off the back of it's head, trying to get at me when i was checking the nest. Ever since then i'm over careful about how and when we check nest boxes.

Help - What Is Causing The Brown Feathers?
I have a couple of birds who get it with seasonal moults, so far no troubles with any of these birds, i think it's just something specific to each birds body... Some get it, some don't but i haven't seen any signs of illness in the ones who have it, so i guess that's a good sign. It should go away with time

Egg Bound Question.
My hen who was egg bound had all of the procedures tried... we did the steam, the olive oil and the calcivet, but to no avail... then we rushed her to a vet who did lubricant and massaging and when that didn't work alone they "induced her" with a needle and massaged it out... was done in five minutes, and aside being a little "stretched" she's doing great and is healthy and well

Please Beware.. It Can Go Wrong.

Colors?
Depends how old it is if its old enough to have meant to have iris rings by now then it's a DEC if it's a young bird it could still be a DF spangle
