  1. Tetnus? For an ant bite? what ? Sounds like luck is on your side he didn't wreck your inner ear, although Needles aren't what I'd call a "lucky" outcome haha Bull ants are the worst! them and bees - I got bitten on the underside of my thigh/bum once and got a lump the size of a golf ball from it !!!! and on the tender part of my foot (the soft bit you don't walk on between the heel and ball of your foot) Come summer I'm soo careful because they're out in force around my house and I like being barefoot unfortunatly
  2. Aww they're soo cute and fluffy !!! If any get abandoned I put my hand up for hand rearing LOL! Although then it has to go home again hmm
  3. Oh how horrible !!!!!! I'd have been jumping up and down screaming I think GET THE TWEASERS!!! Glad to hear it all came out okay in the end with no permanent damage
  4. Nice big eggies too Excellent, can't wait for the outcomes
  5. Well that's good then, when you're down and out you can always use the extra help from family and friends... Never too old to need it

    Chilli
  7. Oh how horrible, I knew he was having problems, but didn't think it had gotten as far as needing hospitalisation... If you chat to him send him my well wishes for a speedy recovery and big HUGS!!!
  8. Aww what a tough situation Is there anyone near by who can help you? Perhaps loan some money off someone and if worst comes to worst take him on public transport?
  9. Wow looks wonderful Trace You and Adam did an excellent job!!! I'm green with envy
  10. Agree, not opaline, but gorgeous either way
  11. No, he's only a year old, when you bought him he was a bub  As KAz says, rings in WA and USA are different unfortunatly
  12. Some birds do it from stress some do it as a form of play... His is probably stress related... I don't know if specifically not allowing him exercise will do him any good. I'm an asthmatic and regularily get fluids on my lungs, to try to aid in removing that I keep as active as possible they even used to put me on a tramp to bring it up. When in hospital when I had pneumonia they gave me physio and wanted me active also. Excercise will constrict his lungs and make him sneeze/cough which should aid in bringing it up... Forced exercise probably isn't good though.
  13. It may sound silly but when my birds seem as though they have liquid in their airways Like with new born pups and kittens etc. I hold them firm between my hands and give a little flick to fling a bit out and wipe them dry again, although it's dangerous if you do it wrong you could snap their neck, or burst something if you flick them too hard or something silly like that...
  14. Hehe no suprises there You were bound to win with your birds :bliss:
  15. Well done, gorgeous picture!

Hehe someones bored tonight me-thinks  Cute though!
  17. Congrats on lucky Looks like a yf DF spangle, but can't tell sex, would need better pics of the cere
  18. I think he is showing the opaline... The slight barrings on his head aren't consistant with that of a normal greywing, they'd be more solid which leads me to beleive it's visual gene not split. He my be a DF dom pied who retains the iris rings but not the Cere colour. I have a DF spangle and a DF dom pied cock who have non-blue ceres.
  19. Excellent news Kaz, congrats!
  20. I'm going to have to be a pain in the butt here and disagree, I beleive it's a cock but the photo catches some weird shades. In the front on picture it looks like a standard cock cere. Hens are usually more opaque white/blue by this age where as a cock will still look the purple/pink

    Boogie wonderland in my pants
  22. He's definatly a dominant, look at those iris rings. I'd say he's be a yf opaline greywing dom pied cock. No spangle.
  23. I agree with Kaz, give her a chance and keep ample food close by and a close eye on her. She may abandon them at a latter stage at which you may need to step in or foster. Good luck
  24. Sooo cute!!!! Fingers crossed they're lacewings
  25. Sounds excellent!!! Can't wait!
