Hi everyone today Greg bought home my new baby Cockatiel Here he or she is (hoping he is a he and not a she) He hasn't been named yet because we can't decide poor little fella "The bird with no name" Isn't he cute

GB you are getting their uncle on the fathers side he is what is throughing all my good birds

Not for show LIv because I took one along to be selceted fro the uncapped shield and they told the markings were too heavy. BUT that doesn't mean you can't breed them maybe one day we can show them

I thought the same as Daz with the young opaline as I had a nest of them but relising what they were culled the lot becaus ethe markings were so strong and thick.

Thanks Liv checking it out now because I said to Greg if it turns out to be a girl I would then want another one a boy and then we would have to build another aviary and quess what we would have lots of little cockatiels. So he is quite happy to get me a boy I want him to talk, Greg is really excited too we are already arguing over a name, I said we can go halves in his price and go custody if we split up :laughter: I have let Greg pick him out so I hope he does a good job

MB what's your ring letters now, Do you know that once you start winning and you change your member name you loose your points. For example I wanted to put Greg's name on my membership last year but I would of lost my points so I am still flying solo until I go into intermediate then I will change because unles I get enough points by then to go up, I go up through time. Something like that

Greg is getting me a young cockatiel but I want a boy there are 5 to choose from does any one know how to sex them. I think he is picking him up today, he is pied and his cheek patches are dark, just out of the nest last week There are 3 cinnamon speckled typed ones also, they could be girls. When I get him or her I will post a photo Thanks

CL3 is L Cowely from the Campertown/Colac club and the other one as far as I know BCV rings only have 2 letters then number except for the BCV club rings. I hope this hepls JB

I wanted some of his birds at the auction but couldn't get there but they went for a good price, out of my price range anyway.
