My New Birdroom (start To Finish)
Thanks Flip-Trainer I try. Here's where I am up. This on the out side where the 1st part of the building meets the second part, it had normal bird wire it and PCV plastic but there was also a big hole in the tin down the bottom, the mice had a field day getting in, So I put the mouse proof wire over everything. This is the driveway side of the birdroom, It had big gaps up the to where the tin didn't meet the top, unbelievable but true anyway I screwed the mouse proof wire there and put wire up the gaps and shoved steel wool in any big gaps. I had to but 10 packets of the stuff. Then I screwed the tin on top so the mice can't run along on the wire. I think it will work a treat. This is the same area with my little window This is the aviary but I have to pull the alum off to change the wire, I am replacing the wire with mouse proof tomorrow, but I used the alum to cover the caps of the corragated iron. This bit is the first part, my kitchen, I have to put some tine over it yet so the mice can't run along it. This is the end part the breeding room and I have sealed the gap between the garage and the roof, very pleased with how it went. I siliconed it too Tomorrow I am changing the wire in the baby aviary and try and fix the gap between the garage and the roof in that part.

Vomiting Cock Bird
He probably ate to much veges, I have had some of my birds guts down the corn and then seem to get a bit sick after,so I don't give it to them as often. But still keep an eye on him because if the hen won't come out to feed and he is feeding her he might over do it and not keep enough food for himself.

New Bird Room
I would of thought the slab would be to big , isn't the new shed 4mt x 4mt and the old shed 4mt x 3.50. Any way sounds good, the tubing for framing will be heaps easier.

What Are These?
There probably not grey , they are more likely mauve. I think that top photo is more dilute than clear wing because it looks the same colour all over, if it was a clear wing the body colour should be much brighter

What will do do with your lovely new one.

Has Any Else Had This Happen?
I would say the hen chipped away at the egg and not the chick and that is why the membrane would still be intact and it would of been a bit early for the chick to hatch, even one day makes a difference and that is probably why it died.

My New Birdroom (start To Finish)
This is what I have done so far. Put mouse proof wire on both doors that lead into aviary and the aluminum along the sides of the doors where there were gaps. and this bit here was a huge ugly area that was just awful, I have made it made better now buy filling in and painting etc This is the entrance to the aviary form the birdroom, you have to step over the steel that has been cut out, well I put the aluminum on there on the gaps the tin left. Back to work.... report later.

My New Birdroom (start To Finish)
Today I worked on my old bird room, I took some photos of the dodgy work Greg did LOL plus my dodgy work trying to mouse proof it. These 3 photos are the end part where I use to breed. I plan on making this area into 2 small aviaries and a holding area for birds if I can mouse proof it. You can see the gap between the Garage wall and the roof. Now I am not aloud to put one screw or nail into that garage so it makes it very hard trying to mouse proof it. That gap is smaller because you can see I have screwed some angle aluminum there already but need to do more yet. this photo is in the same area but as you work into the room This is as you work in too but the out side door, really bad. I plan on ripping the dumb door right out and make a decent new frame and door. This is the aviary, i have tried to mouse proof it but I have new plans now so I am going tear off the wire I put there and use the angle stuff there. You can see my problem. That gap is right along the whole 30 feet of the birdroom aviary. Even sparrows have been getting lately, Grge reckons it has moved but he just didn't do it right in the first place. I have to fix it because I am desperate to use the aviary. More update later

New Bird Room
My shed is 210cm high at walls and I think 254cm at gable peak anyway I would not want it any lower. It still gets very warm in there. Yes i wish mine was 375 x 375 too but mine was vary expensive it is an Steel Chief shed and it cost 1 hundred something dollars to get the extra height plus a coupe of other extra things plus delivery to my door. around $800.00, if I wanted teh size you have it would of being 1200 hundred or so.

Some 2011 Baby Photos
He might not get selected yet Dan, that's if I even decide to show. But I might . Yes the spangle class is strong. I have got a second with his Aunty in spangle unbroken cap a couple of years ago and 3rd and 5th with his Uncles in the DF spangle class and and 1st with his Grandfather in the violet class and 5th with his Uncle in the violet class and 3 rd in the violet class with his cousin. So the genes are there. Just have to wait and see. LOL a first would be delightful but just to finish in the top 10 would do me.

Really Desperetly Need Ideas To Solve My Flight Issues
It looks like it should work a treat Gb but you will have to get someone to fix the steel to the shed one day before heavy winds come. LOL that is something i would do too. lol

Some 2011 Baby Photos
Line breeding Renee building a foundation. I guess a stud. All my birds are now related but last year bought in out crosses and this year put them back young to their uncles and aunties and yes it worked. I think I can say I now have a stud because my birds have a certain look about them. That light green spangle is a chip off the block , just looks like his dad when he was a baby and the sky spangle just looks like his uncle when he was a baby. The sky baby just looks like the violets which are their uncles too (Half Uncles).when they were babies. I am really delight.

Some Chicks
I don't care what variety I bred I just worry about breeding the bird, whether, cinnamon, opaline or what. Anyway this year the are trying out opaline AOS or something like that and normal spangle classes which will be good for me. Because I am always breeding opaline spangles and judges don't like them on the show bench which I think is lousy.

Really Desperetly Need Ideas To Solve My Flight Issues
Here is teh photos of the aluminum angle stuff I was talking about GB. It is very thin and easy to work with. I use an angle grinder to cut. I flatten this piece first. I use to it to patch up any where that there is a hole to stop mice getting in.
