Are your sure they are flight feathers? and not a molt I understand that a knock in the cage and shake them up a bit and this could be the cause of the lack of flight... Post a picture so we can see better

Hey all How are things? ..... I just wanted to clear up something ... a Dark Eye Clear ( DEC) My newly fledging is a lutino ( All bright yellow ) ... So i thought .......she has black eyes where as the other lutino has the red eyes.. So i just wanted to confirm that she is a DEC ..... My camera is packed but i can;t wait to post my new pics I have clear wings - ress pied WOW.. they thru wonderful colors.. I even had a breeder wanting to pay me $25 for one LMAO - he really like the coloring ..... ... I was impressed ... *lightly brushes the dirt of her shoulder

okay you can say it I TOLD YOU SO IT was all gogin well until this morning when i went to do the cleaning of the boxes and etc when i noticed blood on Angel ( the monther of the fledge ) I checked all the babies till i got to the end ( 4 boxes ) with Ozzie's new borns and 1 week old in it they are cut and were bleeding ..... Nothing drastic I didn;t know what to do ( i should of after reading and reseaching of ages ) I removed Angel and her babies and put them in a little cage and used Kaz idea with the ice cream container as i didn't put the father in as Angel isn't in breeding condition but they were mating the other day!!! How do I clean - fix the newborns ...... I am going to do a search on the previous topics but in the mean time can anyone tell me ... PLEASE

Thanks guys - They came out of the next box the other day and i paniced and put them back in LMAO... I have been handleing them alot as i want to tame them : ) i am waiting on a new hose so i can then move and set up my breeding properly ( in units eheheh ) I just love them - and it gets me in stitches when they snuggle up to my ear...

I am in Ore of my woddle ones.... 3 are due to fledge next week here are Angels and Michaels 3 eldest ( i must say so far my favourites....) Excuse their face they were just feed and mums had spinish.. Here is Angel & Michaels ( they are stating to mate again ) And for the topic of red eyes ... Here is Starchky and Margoo and the red eye the other 2 are about 7,9and 11 days old.... Now Funny enought my other hen - Ozzie had her 2nd hatchling today and it will be red eye too the father is Prince a Colbalt Dom and she is a Green Lacewing SF ( okay so i think ) and i noticed that even thought it eyes aren't open they are red and the other is black ..... This Could Also be because I am Coloney breeding ... I KNOW I KNOW it is frowned upon... But so far everything has been going great.... They all have their own nest box no extras that were recommended - But I am moving ( fingers crossed ) with in the month and I have a huge garden shed ( Given to me ) that I am turning into my breeding room and Nursery..... I have straw and Hay at the bottom of the aviary incase the little buggers fall - but have a huge branch / trunk in the avairy so if they aren't fly properly they can at least climb up ......

The egg didn't hatch it had a hole in it and the baby was dead so all together there were 3 deaths But plenty of babies.. Man do they POO... I am cleaning out their nest boxes and the Eldest clutch is Gross I have put extra shvings in there and i am picking the poo of their feet but can't get it off there claws.... I love how they hold on to my fingers heheheh

Hi everyone!!! Well it's been 19 dyas since my first egg hatched I now have 4 hens breeding 1. Angels she had 7 eggs 1 died has 5 babies and fostered 1 egg to snow white 2. Snow white had a fostered egg, one of heres and this moeing one was in the egg dead so I fostered one of Starchky that was about to hatch with her 3. Starchy has 7 babies in her nest there were eight eggs and they are looking great 3 of them have red eyes??? These are Angels babies.... These are Starchy's babies the 3 youngest have the red eyes These are snow whites babies and the egg closest to her is hatching....

Mum is a made color she is Grey pied and clear wings with the black spots on her very top of her wings and dad is a yf sea green - Starsky had her first baby yesterday she is a Norm and the dad is opaine spangle white with the lightsest blue - I will post more mics really soon... FEATHERS : I know now what you mean by the babies and their beautfuil noises ....... Bubs are all doing well and MAN do they grow fast

I am doing that today as they have been pushed to the side i read that the mum may eat themor toss them so I will do that today thanks heaps Kazz

Well, You lot just missed my complaining about not having babies hehehe I started a new market business with my sister and girlfriend selling Gothic and New Age jewellery and giftware so that has kept me busy... Hey all. I just wanted to thank everyone for their advice and help while i was starting my breeding and I am sure everyone was well aware the trouble i went through. But this morning and right on time came Hatchling No 3 All my hens are loaded with eggs. I haven't candled them But have learnt i thibg or two ( From here of course ) that tells me if they are with out touching them... OMG THERE ARE BABIES :(Laughing out loud): So the mum is feeding them so well and their crops are WELL AND TRUELY FULL they are boldging out the sides * Is this normal as i couldn't find anything in the FAQ. The first one was born the 27th the 2nd born 29th and the widdle new one today 31st.... there are 4 to go..... Once again thanks guys picture will be here soon.... :budgiedance:
