Agree with the waiting for at least 12 months.. There are so much complications that can happen from breeding with young pairs egg bound infertile eggs unfed chicks feeding problems etc etc .... Also best to try and pair a first time parent with a experienced parent too

I had mice too when i was young, they breed heaps .. I remember 2 things though 1. The males stink so the cage has to be cleaned twice a day and 2. Dad cracking it in the middle of the night cause they loved their wheel

Me too I do not use pellet, personal prefence too Elly has provided you with a few reading materials But I will add, that the whole pellet thing must me " A IN THING" as i have read it on a few Caring for budgies articles I still will not use them - They get all their food needs without them, I haven't seen wild budgies look for pellets before lol
