I've clipped before and you need to be able to do it in good lighting so that you can keep your eyes one the Blood vesels ... fingernail clippers are fantasict as you have better control over them Agree with Libb better close up picture , Try your marco setting ( it the one that looks like a flower)

  5. Ah HUH ! * Neat bring out that extremly old Budgie book From the ashes ( had put on the book self) okay .... Natural wild type budgies are light green but mutations have occured in the wild includeing yellow and blue ( i am assume that are from escapees lol ) But In kensington Natural Histroy Museum there is a skin from a caught wild Dark green ... AND DID YOU KNOW that the Opaline mutation was evolved from a wild caught mutation !!! OH 1870-1875 the yellow appeared from light greens ( them being DEC and Ino ) 1880-1885 the skyblue mutation appeared 1915 the Dark greens ( Laurel) appear in France and the following year the Olive greens envolved from them .... Then they crossed the skyblue to the olive and Cobalts were produced in 1920's 1918 and 1925 was when the first geywings were bred by crossing the green with blue and white a greywing blue appeared in germany during 1928 and later establiushed in all shades 1931 the first cinnamon mutation occured and the Red eye Fallow in green and yellow were produced in USA ( this line wasn't established.... And the list goes on and on and on and I can be writing all Night lol

  7. Totally agree with the Egg bound thing !!!! Would have been dead by now ... Like mine the avairy floor does need a clean up - ( as birds like to Forage for food off the floor) ( also looking the the feed dish Looks like empty husk in there too ? Also do you wash your gum leaves and nuts before putting them in with the birds!!! This is how mine got sick when i first started out ... P.S Who is looking after them while the school is on Holidays ??? If she is left alone, I wouldn't expect to see her still there if left for 2 weeks without treatments

I did a post about the Gum leaves and which ones the prefer .... So unless u can climb to the very tops of the gum trees they will need to settle for second best .... Any gum leaves are fine , I agree with Liv on the stronger scented ones ( Snap the leaft and smell it Hmmmmmm ) ..... Make sure that you have cleaned them prior to decortating or feeding your birds .....
  22. Starving a budgie is a cruel way to think that it will bond quicker to you .... Great advise already about it being too young to expect it to be tamed. It is a time consuming effort 30 mins everyday and you will get there
  23. That is alot of money !!!!! I think we all wish that we were rich ....
  24. Hope it is a good one
