Yes Sailorwolf the lights are in fact hose proof. Here you go Paul These are the ones I use in the breeding cages. I just change the jar if I need more to feed more birds. Here is the layout for the aviry. (Click to enlarge) Thanks for that Daz, do you mind telling me the price of these feeders (do they come with the jar) and also do you keep the same feeder in the cage for when the chicks start eating on their own or do use an extra feeder or such.

Trust a woman to complain..........ah only gagging and good luck to the oldies, it wont be long and some of us will be there.

I Bought An Aviary Today
First thing tomorrow morning is BBD Can't wait. I figured it was better than putting them in just before bed time. It sure is a skipping rope. There are 2 of them in there. The second one is close to the front and is in a V shape. A lot of the stuff we got was from a discount store and $2 stores. The bamboo lattice was the most expensive item, at $5.00. Most of the small toys, dog toys and skipping ropes were $2.00 each. Karen, I found the perfect size containers to use to stop budgies going in to the dispensers. I have put 2 slits in the top and used a long cable tie so that it can be lifted for filling. I have lots of these containers at home if you want some. 18 hours to go before budgie infiltration Feathers. I reacon your a legend Aly for doing all that work.....also where did you get the green feeders and were they expensive?

Two New Boys For My Girl
Thanks for all the info lovey, much appreciated If he is the slate mutation -- then you could get slate females and males split to slate and -ino. There are many other possibilites based on what other mutations the albino is (or is carrying) and what the male is carrying. Depends on what the albino is -- sky blues and cobalts if she has any dark factors - males split to -ino. And if the male has any splits they may show up. Once again, ta very much for the info Thanks Aly

Two New Boys For My Girl
Hi peoples, Friday I got two very nice Large birds to breed with, this is where I need your help. I want to put one of these mails with my Albino girl, I am not sure what they are split too. The breeder was a show breeder however due to her age (86 and not up to date with her record even though she still rings her birds) but doesn't show birds anymore. But she is still a registered member of a Club. She feels that both of these males would be suitable with my Albino. Firstly...is a slate colour... it is actually darker than the picture shows. Secondly... is a Sky blue. This is the Girl Also, what would be the result of pairing these two birds. The female is a Lutino and the boy is an Opaline spangle green split to a Fallow and a light grey yellow face opaline spangle. Not the best photo Thanks guys

Breeding Ino's
Ta for that Daz That was the feeling of the breeders on the weekend too, but they found without the dark factor the colour was too washed out. If they dark or grey factor was used as well, then it would intensify the colour. Thanks for that info

Budgies Go Nuts Over Natural Food
Paul check you local parks and nature strips and schoolyards. The council likes planting peppermont trees everywhere. Thats a great idea, why didn't I think of that:) must be the male factor. He he
