Used to? What ones?

Just thought I'd better introduce myself since I'm finally getting a budgie. I've had all sorts of pets all my life and have never been without any. When I was younger that meant cats and dogs. Later, I got heavily into aquarium fish. If any of you want to see my page on fish, it's Lisa's Lair. There's also a link on that page to the little page I did for our finches that we have. We have zebra finches, gouldians, stars, societies and owl finches. We are caretaking a native mourning dove that has a broken wing. It's taken to life in a cage quite well so far. It eats the same seeds the finches do quite well. It's going to a rehab place once the person who gave it to us can find one that'll take it. I'm looking forward to getting our little budgie friend. My brother had one while we were growing up. He taught it to sit on your finger, though it really preferred sitting on your head or the curtains (my mother hated that! (Laughing out loud)). He (I'm assuming here since I don't recall too many details on the bird) was called J.J. He was a normal green I believe. To see a picture of my family, click here. I hope that's enough of an intro. Yep, we're going to come and get Tango most likely next weekend. Trying to see how a Monday holiday trip may work instead, but no guarantees on that. Looking forward to adding Tango to the rest of the menagerie at the house. Should fit right in, with all the other birds, the fish, the rabbit and us!
