  1. Thanks Kaz. It has been a long time since I posted on the forum, and I've gone blank Cindy
  2. I could not find my original post about Rascus and his constant runny motions.. Well I got the result today. He has Pseudodiabetes (false diabetes), it is caused by an infection in the Pancreas. The liquid he passed was not from the bowel but from the kidneys. Vetafarm are sending me some Spectovet . antibiotic Now we have to wait to see if it works on him. Cindy
  3. I've tried 3 Avian Vets in our surrounding areas - rather a long drive. When I got no satisfaction from them I went to two normal vets...all said they could not find anything. The bottom of his cage is just like runny water. I am now sending the samples to Vetafarm. Cherie to much inregular veriation on food or stress can cause runny water like droppings is something stressing him or her where she is He is in the family room where he has always been, with his mate 'Squeak'..Nothing here has changed. Thanks for you input Cherie

  5. They say he does not need anything, but it must he having some effect on him.
  6. For the last 12 months my budgie 'Rascus' has had constant runny poos, mostly dark green, now almost clear liquid. I have taken him to various Avian Vets, and normal Vets during this time. All have tested the 'mess' and cannot find what is causing it. I have even taken him to another person's house for 7 days..kept him in his cage for days on end. Removed all greens. Given him grit (All on Vets suggestions) Nothing is working He still sings, very loudly I must say, flies around his room, plays on his swing set, Eats his seed not just crack them. Sometimes he fluffs up. He is so lively that last week when we had visitors staying, they nicknamed him 'Kamikaze Pilot' Can anyone out there tell me what else can I do. Yes, he has been wormed, given calcium and vitamins. No, he is not losing weight (so the Vet said) Cindy

  12. Thanks Libby, I should know by now, shouldn't I
  13. He/she is a very pale lemon very a greenish/blue tummy, no a sky blue Cindy I agree with Libby. The yellowface gene makes a skyblue look like the pale green you are seeing.....making it type 2. Unless the colours arent showing up well on here, I would agree with Libby's description. Thanks Kaz and thank you Libby. Is it a recessive?
  14. He/she is a very pale lemon very a greenish/blue tummy, no a sky blue Cindy

Thanks, they are so cute and I just love the way they look up at you when you open the nest box, not at all scared. Two of them are a beige/grey colour at the moment and have brown markings on their wings, the yellow ones have all different colours on there tummy, pale green, pale blue and a deeper blue like his dad, so it will be interesting to see how they turn out. I think the one with the green tummy is female as it is the only one that has tried to bite me so far. Cindy

Updated pics,, excuse rusty wire on cage front, it was only used as a tempory holding area while I cleaned our their very dirty nesting boxes and i knew they were too young to peck at it(8 babies are too much to hold in one small hand ) The clutch of 8 First born looks like a giant compared to his youngest sibling and the clutch of 6 All looking healthy Cindy
  24. Oh They are absolutely georgous. I just love those colours Congrats KAz, Cindy
