i hand feed them yesterday for the first time.

I'm sorry about your losses.

I decided to get two more budgies this past Friday to add to my flock. Now my budgie Willow will have new friends but first the two new additions are in 30 day quarantine. They will meet on July 28th. They are very young, they both have black bars going down to the cere. I have decided to tame them both. I only took two pictures, i didn't want to stress them out two much. My niece named my budgies, the yellow budgie is Banana and the pied is called Coconut. I'll post more pictures once they are more settled in.

it looks like a tumor. I would do the same as you and seek out another vet. Was this vet an avain vet?

I agree with the other members.

I have tamed in the past 2 budgies together successfully and they where both in the same cage. The secret to taming them is alot of patient and you need to take each budgie into a separate room in order to have their full attention to you and not to one another. i agree with the first being a male. The secound budgie however looks female to me, there is alot of white on the cere around the nostrils.
