It is a normal behavior of budgies to nap like that, also some budgies do not sleep like that. each budgie is an individual here is a recent thread that also talked about napping budgies with pictures Thread

a bitter sweet moment, sad to see a rescue go but happy to see it go to a forever home. you did such a great job

good luck with moving Olive, just keep a good eye on her ( l know that you will )

She has a back condition that causes massive pain. I paid for treatments for her recently that fixed it but for a little while. She needs an operation. Meanwhile more cortisone needles in her spine that I have to work for and pay for as she cannot. She is worried about losing her job from too many sick days. To have the operation too, means at least 6 months recovery time with no income, no home, losing her pets etc. So she is very anxious as you can imagine. l'm so sorry to hear this, l know how hard it is when something like this happens. your daughter and your family are in my prayers and thoughts. She gets depressed and worse. I have to try and keep her spirits up. that is good that she has you to help her through all this. l know when l feel stressed out or depressed that l think, what is the use to get up in the morning, my family helps me cope with it and my 3 year old niece will always put a big smile on my face. l really hope that all this treatment will work and help your daughter get some relief from her pain. ((((((Hugs))))))
