  1. Hobbes& Clarie says "Thank You" well, this Monday l have an appointment to take them to get clipped and also trim their nails. l'm also going to ask the vet to show me how to trim their nails, so l'll be able to do that on my own, when they need it. oh, they are not going to like me for awhile but l'm sure they will be okay, once they settle down and get use to their clipped wings.
  2. Glad to hear you had a much better day today. Have a good time at your brother's wedding

  6. yes, you can put his seed dish in his cage, perhaps put the dish near a perch that he seems to sit on the most. he will find his seed dish eventually and you can continue to spread some seeds on the floor until you notice that he is eating from his dish. ***sitting patiently........waiting for the pics...........................
  7. your flock looks great
  8. your boys are handsome. if you use the oil just remember, try not to put any oil on their feathers and only use a very small amount. check their legs too, to make sure there are no mites on them either.

l don't see any pictures. never mind my above statement. for some reason l can see them now your budgies are gorgeous.
  24. my two budgies are 2 years old today l was just thinking back when l first got them, l tried to tame them for about 1 month. my male Hobbes was really making progress with the taming, but my hen Claire was not responding that well to training. how l was taming them, l would take each bird separately into the bathroom and spend about 30 minutes or more with each of them, talking to them. they both would go on to my finger and they would be relaxed and seemed to be very comfortable. l noticed that when l would be finished with Hobbes and put him back into my cage, Claire would seem to be very upset with Hobbes, she would chase him around the cage and harass him and nip at him. after awhile she would settle down. when l first started to tame them they had their wings clipped, so do you think l should clip their wings just this once to help to tame them or give them a very light trim or just leave them fully flighted? the reason why l stopped taming them, my flock grew from 2- 8 budgies in less then 4 months, so l found it really difficult to keep training them, especially 8 of them.
