for some reason l always presumed that oranges where not good for them. l would like to give my budgies some oranges and see if they like it.

that is great l looked up the recipe and it sounds good, l'll have to try it on mine.

is it possible for you to take a picture of the budgie's leg?

these are my first birds when l was growing up l had other furry and scaly pets but l never had birds. l did know a budgie thou that lived to be 10 years old, it was my sisters pet and it was super tame, she rescued the budgie from a classified ad. sadly, it has since passed away

l know that l don't have the oldest budgie, both of mine will be 3 years old next month

wow, that sounds odd The thought has often crossed my mind that maybe my (indoor) budgies dont sleep "tucked" in because perhaps they're feeling its too hot to do so?? .. do your budgies still tuck their heads in when the weather is hot??? I think with Charley though its a fear that he might MISS seeing something!!! he's very nosey!!!! He knows if he tucks his head away, in the time it takes to take his head "out" and turn it, something may very well have passed him by!!! since my house has air condition in the summer, it doesn't get as hot as outside but l find sometimes my room will get very warm in the winter time, and l noticed that they still do sleep with their heads tucked in.
