Hi, welcome to the forums your budgie is cute and to me he looks like a boy. in the last picture, what is on his beak?
  2. correct your birds will get fat no matter what you feed them if you don't give them flight time to exercise or if they are clipped outside time where they can climb and jump from different objects that is why it is important to place perches and objects in a cage correctly so it prompts them to move around more in their cage too when they can't get out of the cage time. yes that is true. since my budgies are kept inside, l let my birds out all day when l can, l try to let them out for at least 6 hours every day. other wise my little ones would gain weight on their diet.
  3. Kaz, when you use the Hibiscus, do you give them the flower and stems or just the stems?
  4. l'm not too sure about this product. they don't list the ingredients. it doesn't say if it is for vitamins or minerals supplement?
  5. that's great!!!!
  6. Hi, welcome to the forums
  7. as the other poster's have mentioned, it is a personal choice. l feed my budgies a seed, pellet, fruit and veggies diet. they are still getting adjusted to the pellets. l take away there seeds for awhile in the afternoon and offer them pellets, then in the evening l offer them there seeds and l leave there seeds in their cage till the next aternoon.

that would have been neat if you had caught it on tape. oh well, maybe next time you will get lucky :glare: it seems like whenever you want to catch something on tape or snap a picture of a budgie, they always seem to sense it and moves or stops doing it
  9. they are all beautiful. if you do pair one of the hens with this handsome cock l'm sure they will produce some gorgeous chicks
