Have just spoken to the breeder of Monty and am picking him up tomorrow!!!!!

I will certainly do that birdluv!! And I will be giving him heaps more after that! Less than 48 hours now! Woohoo!!!

Well here's a photo of my baby just taken yesterday! Cant wait to give hime a big big cuddle!!!!

When they're little the sound of it reminds them of their mothers heart beat and can settle them at night. Thanks, I will!! There is a toy on Ebay I want to get for him. Its called a Snugglepuppie that looks just like a dog with a heartbeat inside it and also has a heatbag in it as well so its nice and warm for him! Would love to get it but I have run out of money!!

Well I only have 6 more days till I pick up my gorgeous boy, I have everything he needs - new toys, bed,blanket, more toys, but most of all lots and lots of love to give him!! I JUST CANT WAIT!!!!! I have tried to focus on him today after losing my baby bird after handrearing it for the past two weeks. Will post some pics of him once I get him home!!

Well only 11 days to go now before I pick Shandy up!! I bought his bed today from Ebay at half the price you would pay in a pet shop.Its a lovely big soft luxurious one that I hope he will like!

Well puppy has a name - its Shandy!! I know it has nothing to do with hearts etc but I was going insane! I was driving to work and it just came to me! It wasnt in any of the 1000's of websites I'd been on for dog names, it just came into my head! What do you think?

The waiting game is never fun....but always worth it in the end . While I'm waiting for him I will have a chance to get all his things ready - like his feed bowls,collar, bed,etc etc etc,

I have been searching for ages for a purebred cocker spaniel puppy and today I found him! He's not old enought yet to bring home but I have paid a deposit on him and can pick him up in 2 weeks time. He is very very cute. He's gold and white with a white heart shape on the top of his head He is soooooooo gorgeous!! The owner has emailed me some pics but I cant work out to paste them on this forum. Can someone help me??

Elly, I separated the birds straight away cause I knew she would kill him if I left them together. I have left the hen to raise them on her own (that'll teach her!) I was thinking that but didn't type it because I couldn't remember if that is what the breeders do since I don't breed I was remembering from memory. I agree I wouldn't chance it myself. How have the birds been? All is well thanks Elly, the hen is feeding the chicks on her own and is doing a good job. Dad is recovering in a separate cage.Will be keeping an eye on the hen to make sure she doesnt turn on the chicks! :sad:
