  1. How about Prince Birdy if he's too cute... the other can still be Princess?! Or perhaps, His Royal Highness? Rex and Regina?

Go Fish, thank goodness... Do you eat your greens? Do your budgies?

Love them! Do you live on a busy road?

generally, yes... except when they're over the phone at dinner time with someone who clearly speaks English as a second language (not that I have a problem with mulitlingual people!) and has been trained to do everything they can to keep the person on the other end of the line as long as possible and NEVER to be the one to hang up... I ususally put those guys out of their misery by telling them I'm busy and hanging up for them! Do you spend too much time on the internet (define "too much" as you wish!)

No! Argh! Do you enjoy exercise in general?

Yes! My grandma fed us "casserole" and waited til we'd finished eating before telling us it was rabbit casserole! Did you hear about the baby left at the bus stop at Shepparton this morning?
  7. I always make sure Smokey has fresh gumleaves and little leafy branches to climb and nibble on. I have noticed though, that he munches on them a lot more when they are a day or two old and have started to dry out and go crunchy... do anyone else's budgies do this? I have taken to giving them a little spray of water every now and again so he gets a bit of water from them as well but he shuffles through them til he finds the dry ones.
  8. Whenever I give Smokey's cage a full clean-out (once a fortnight - wash the floor tray, wipe down all the bars, soak all his toys, etc etc... the food & water dishes etc get done each day, and he gets new branches each week or so) I make a point of rearranging all his furniture. He sits on the top of his cage while all this goes on, usually with a nice fresh bunch of gum leaves to keep him occupied...It is amazing how just moving a toy he hasn't touched in six weeks to a different spot makes that toy the flavour of the month! My favourite thing about doing one of these cage make-overs is spending the next half an hour (sometimes an hour or more!) just watching him explore the new layout. Exploring, inquisitive budgies are so cute! He's a bit of a clumsy bum too, so that makes the climbing and exploring even more entertaining for me! Yay for budgies!

Go Fish... Though the dentist wanted to take my wisdom teeth out, which apparently was going to be a big deal... so I got a second opinion, and the second dentist scoffed and said she hadn't seen straighter, more appropriately spaced wisdom teeth in years! Needless to say, I didn't get them done! Did you ever get detention at school? If so, what for (one example is enough if you have a long list!!!)? **Just noticed there must be a few of us answering all at once... I was answering htre surgey question!

Yes... and then continued all the way to the top! Being a gymnast, I was quite a tree climber as a kid. Needless to say, since stopping gym, I haven't ever felt quite brave enough to go all the way to the top again! Are you accident prone? If so, plleeeeaasssseee provide examples!
  11. There you go... if you get stuck for a name... Bubblegum, gummy, bubba... !

go fish... but I do have a preference for wide open spaces! are you double-jointed anywhere?
  13. wow... I know nothing at all about genetics, colours etc etc, but that is a really attractive looking budgie... I could eat it up!

yes, just two weekend ago! do you enjoy camping? (as in REAL camping... tent, campfire, sleeping bags, cooking in a billy etc... not that camping-ground cabin kind of "camping"!)
  15. That was one of my initial thoughts too. I know they are really strict on bringing stuff in at our end, but maybe they're not so tight about what leaves the country? It depends on the quarantine rules etc at the receiving end, I guess. I know that plant matter brought into Aust needs to be treated (my host family in Poland innocently mailed a dried flower arrangement to us... it was going to cost $100 or so to have it treated!) and I'd be worried about the treatment process in terms of my budgie eating the treated product...

that depends... (will have to consult a dictionary before committing an answer!) did you sleep well last night?

go fish... what about shows like Dr Phil and Oprah? Do you watch them?
  18. What an interesting concept... online eucalyp things... great idea for overseas bird owners! I recon between us aussies, we could all go for a wander in our back yards/local parks, gather up some sticks, leaves, nuts etc, and get creative... looks like we could make a bit of money out of it! I make all of Smokeys toys, playgym (and extensions!) and perches etc out of gum branches... because I am too much of a tight a** to pay the prices pet stores etc claim for such things!
  19. Hi Kaz hope iv done it right this time im a 63 yrs old dumb bell on computers Thanks Liv think i have it right now Sorry for being such a dow dow on computers Hey, don't underestimate your computer skills... I am a 27 year old dumb bell on computers who, until I started frequenting this site, had no idea what an avatar was, or how to create a signature, or even how to upload photos to a forum!
  20. Wow... what a kid... You can be sure the little chick he picks from your family will be well looked after, can't you! Well done on intervening, but even more on the way you have helped Brandon develop his interest and concern for budgies... he's going to be a great budgie owner/breeder when he grows up!
  21. I'm certainly not a horse person, I know nothing about horsie competitions or dressage and all that, but that was AWSOME! My sister shares the same horse sentiments as I do, but every four years, we make sure we watch the dressage at the Olympics (on TV of course) because it really is impressive... needless to say, I have forwarded the link to my sister!

I was in stitches at the mental image of my cat being agitated, washed and rinsed. Oh my... that was so funny, and I'm a cat person!

Go fish, but as a child I burned them with my magnifying glass for no reason! Do you get totally freaked out by things that crawl (ie insects, cockroaches, bugs etc)?
