You have some great birds there mate Gotta be real happy with them- Chicks Chicks Chicks Its Happening
In my experience some do grow back all their feathers and some dont. Hanging onto them for a few months will give you the answers you seek. Some grow them straight back and others struggle to. Wish I could be more help, but energy levels and motivation due to losing two Dads has me feeling a little "flat"- Brief Tutorial On How To Make Cartoon Photos
Great job Liv- Chicks Chicks Chicks Its Happening
I doubt it. Having experience with french moulters who have little to no wing feathers, they are lucky to glide to ground never mind flying off- Big Blue ( Aka Kd ) And Spice
I flew in at teatime and raced down and got their rings on....just Will check them better in the morning as light wasnt the best...eldest seems to be a hen and second chick a cock.- Greywings
Back only for today, and I have to go back to Geraldton for my fathers funeral. Checking birds so did some pictures... UPDATE............... I have just returned briefly from a few days away. My own father was hospitalised ( some 300 miles away where he lives ) Sunday night. We were told he would not live till morning. My sister and I drove throught the night with no sleep to get there and arrived 6am next morning on the Monday. He passed away Tuesday morning at 9:30 am. I am now preparing to return with my husband for the funeral which will be Saturday. We have now lost Kens father and now mine just days apart.- Budgie Seed And Moulting
Thanks Liv....There is no baldness around the cere, just like pin feathers coming through on the tops of their heads, they only moulted a few months ago, so I was just putting it down to the change in seed? I do not find that a moult caused by change of seed involves a baldness near the cere...that may be a coincidence. It isnt my experience at all.- My Aviary....start To Finish
and room for you and the kids - My Aviary....start To Finish
Not that hard to do Splat and also easy to modify one you already have I would say. We have done the rest of the meshing for the open air popout suspended section today. Now ...to do list.... 1. fill gaps in concrete between slab and colourbond metal. 2. Fill any sharp edges and smaller gaps with gap filler. 3. Fit hatch door for access to outside fence. 4. Fit front wall and windows, and mesh the front window. 5. Make another hinged perch section for the front flight. 6. Clean wire. 7. Add feeders 8. Add birds.- New Budgies!
