Hi, My new baby is definately a cinnamon. I've been assuming it is a male because the cere is very pinkish. But I was just reading up on cinnamon. Sylvester must be split for cinnamon as he isn't showing it. And I think that means that the baby must be a female. Unless Jewel is masking cinnamon. But if she had the cinnamon gene, wouldn't she be a fallow? Hmmm. The cere really looks male at this point. I'm not great with the genetics stuff. What do you guys think? Baby has to be female?

Looks like your baby has splay legs. PM Karen (Bubbles) who has experience treating this. She also has a recommended treatment on here for splay legs. I'll see if I can find it for you. Wylie and Sylvester got a bit of free time today away from their mates/baby/eggs. Sylvester has been a diligent dad and Wylie a doting husband so I thought they should get out for a flight. I put a bath with some lettuce out for them and I guess they really needed it because they jumped right in. Notice the budgies below checking out the action! Wylie after his dunk. The two dads!

Welcome. Your birds are very pretty although I must say the ceres puzzle me on some of them. They look bluish brown. Read lots about breeding before you begin. I had my budgies a year first to make sure they were old enough and to gather as much info as possible. I still ended up with questions after I got started. Budgies are addictive aren't they
