So sorry that you have lost another budgie. What a gorgeous set up you have. I know we have seen pics before but I would love to see more if you get a chance sometime. The babies are darling!

Soory Me Again- Blues This Time!
What an interesting looking budgie - 1st one. Those rogue black feathers are cool. I have never seen anything like that. I love spangles. They are both very pretty. And both do look like opalines.

French Moult......why, What, When And How ?
Karen, so sorry to hear this. I don't know much about French moult, but I've heard it is very contagious. I would say that if many more of your birds are at risk for picking up the virus, I would risk moving them to their own space somewhere. You don't want any of your others to pick it up and possibly pass it on to their babes. Those chicks look quite far along. Hopefully everyone will handle the move well.

2 More Budgies Have Agreat Home!
Really cute Misty. I like them a lot - especially the male. I'm partial to blues though. Just a recommendation about numbers and that cage - I think you are reaching the max for them to be truly comfortable. I have the same cage and I found when I introduced my last 2 taking my numbers to 11 they started squabbling more and one was getting plucked. It may just be that she is an ino, but I'm not sure. Even with lots of space I think they may have felt crowded. I now have 9 in my big cage. I have 2 in a smaller cage, and Bella is in quarantine. I'm going to try to introduce her to the big cage but if trouble erupts I'll be taking out one more from the big cage to sharea a cage with her. Good luck with your gang and hopefully there will be peace and harmony for you.

I Got New Budgies!
They are sweet! Yes, the hen is a cinammon. I have a male recessive pied that is cinammon. My first thought for names was Salty and Pepper. I'm not great at picking names though. Kirby will definately help you.

Lump On Back
I hope your little one will be okay.

Questions
Just watch the cage inside the cage. I've heard of toes being nipped off. If Rej jumps on the other cage your new budgie might bite her little toes. I've seen my budgies nip at toes if someone is out and lands on top of the cage. And they are all pretty friendly, and get along. I wouldn't recommend that. You can try just introducing after quarantine. It may go okay. If not, just remove your new budgie and perhaps introduce your older budgie to the smaller cage and see how things go. I'm guessing your budgie will be so thrilled for budgie companionship (she hasn't bonded with you) that it won't be an issue. (No guarantees of course).

What Do These Types Look Like?
I've never heard of the white suffusion. I wonder if it is a dark eyed clear or double factor spangle? Or maybe it is just a recessive with a lot of white.

When are your eggs due to hatch?

Lost Clutch Of 3 Chicks To French Moult
I wonder if that is why the parents abandoned them - because they sensed something was wrong? Sorry for your loss.

It's Finally Here!
Very nice - it is the blue version of my cage. My budgies are very happy in theirs too - although I have 3 cages going at this time - 9 in the big one, and the other 3 budgies in the other 2 cages. I had one being pecked, and I have my newest in quarantine. Did you get it from birdcagemart?

Video Of Merlin & Pretty
Love the videos. I finally went back and checked out Pretty's talking video too - I'm at my office where I have high speed. Very cool.

Amazing!
Oh Luis, they are so beautiful. Way to go mama. If she is that great, you can probably use her as a foster mom in the future. So what are you doing with all the bubs?

I'm In Heaven!
Oh how lucky for you!!! I hope all 7 of your new eggs hatch. It will be spangle heaven.

What Will I Get?
I'm so excited! Lots of awesome combinations. I'm sure I would be happy with any of those outcomes, especially the spangles and recessive pieds. I can't wait until they are old enough.

What Will I Get?
I have 5 potential mates for my beutiful Bella and I'm wondering what the possible outcomes would be. Bella is a sky blue recessive pied opaline greywing spangle. My males are 1. a yellowface II (possibly goldenface) dilute 2. a cinnamon violet recessive pied (might be opaline too) 3. a cobalt yellowface recessive pied 4. a goldenface 5. a mauve yellowface dominant pied. Thoughts anyone? My dream budgie is a yellowface II spangle so I'm hoping that one of these with her could produce it.

Birds At Play
Not really. They all like their cage. Wylie is the most challenging to get in and out. It is hard to get him to stay on the perch. He just doesn't trust me yet. He has been nervous from day 1. I actually think transporting them in and out of the cage on the perch to the playgym is going to help with the trust some. I see a difference already.

"the Boys" Together At Last
So cute. Glad to finally see the pics of them together.

What Colour Are We?
Well here is the word from Nerwen! "Aww I feel special that your asking me I think she might be a dutch dominant pied, they have markings like a recessive but as lovely said with spots around the neck too. I've heard that they don't get rings and then others that they do. It's hard to tell sometimes but that's what I think she is."

Birds At Play
Well I'm having a blast watching the budgies in the tree. They are really enjoying it. I wish I could get Beka, Star, Puddin' and Daff out for some play time, but they will not come on the perch and I don't want to grab them. So, I had 7 out at the same time tonight. They climbed, flew around, squabbled, snacked on millett, and had a grand time. And so did I. I think you can see 6 of them in this picture. Tweety resists coming out of the cage at first but once she is out she is fine. She will fly back and forth from cage to tree. I try to keep them off the cage with the four still inside - don't want any nips on the toes. Wylie looks gorgeous in flight. There is something to be said about normals. Caught Tazzy in flight too. He looks so stubby since he molted out the tail feathers. Sylvester looks washed out here. He seems the most comfortable in the tree. He really is a special budgie. I think that Jewel was just yawning here but it looks like she is giving Wylie the what for. My two baby boys. Romeo is starting to molt.
