finger into the belly and talking to the budgie all the time worked for me.Jim gets funnier by the day,wolf whistles,talking,following me around the room,thats a nice one.

Jim is having his first moult,feathers all over and spikes on his forehead!! just wondered aprox what age this would make him in your opinion? also what are the spikes,new feathers i told the wife,am i right?

now that is superb,its about 11 seconds in yeah and im sure he says ohh thats nice afterwards!!

my jim is really tame now,ive had him for 3 weeks today and he is about 8-9 weeks old,his wings are not clipped and hes totally trusting of me,even sleeps on my shoulder and when hes flying around the room he comes back to land on my arm,i have had about 5 budgies over the years and this one is the best.

yeah much better,he wont stand on it for too long so it must be sore,but he will recover

thanks graeme,jim loves the bath,hes been in today and i added a bit of his medicine to the water and hes much better,heres a picture i took ealier,i will be taking more soon and posting them in the piccy forum

yeah jims the best budgie ive ever had,he was perching on my shoulder just now and fell asleep,head tucked away,never had a budgie do that with me,next time i'll get a picture to show

ha ha it seems that way,im not being mad but he is still sitting with me.

heres my update....i phoned in sick this morning and got a telling off from the boss..who cares!! i went to the vets and they said to bring jim in straight away which i did,he enjoyed the car drive,chirping away,when the vet had a look she just nudged the nail slightly and it fell off,no blood.... she gave me a solution to bathe the end of his toe in and all is fine,im so relieved. a strnge thing then happened when i got jim home,he seems to be totally trusting of me now,even more than before? he jumped out of his cage and straight onto my head where he preened what hair i have!he then flew away but came back and hovered by my arm until i put my hand out for him to land on and hes been sitting on my shoulder ever since,maybe he realises i am here to help him. Thanks for everyones help here,much appreciated Adrian

thanks,the hwest one is around 40 miles from me and the other is 100 mile,i am going to go into the vets in the morning and plead with them to help.

an update,i have contacted a few people and they say the vet in our town wouldnt see a bird!!!! taken a look now and its really sore with him,he wont stand on it,ohh i dont want to lose this bird also noticed the nail is all white,not pink like the other nails?

oh no hes not very well now,hes sitting on his perch with his head tucked away..

ohh im really worried now,his claw has been at an angle since i got him but i didnt think it would harm him,but now today its as if he wants it off,ill have to try the vets tomorrow.Just had a good look and there is hardly no blood

the nail is hanging right back to where it starts growing from,there isnt much blood but it is bothering him,i cant get a good close up either but will keep trying

please help me,i noticed that one of my budgie jims nails is hanging off,its his main front claw?? he is pecking away at it and there is a small ammount of blood there,what should i do?there are no vets around here for birds
