just an update,i still monitor the forums when i can,jim is a very good bird now,hes talking more every day,he gets upset when i leave the room,and he sqwakes like crazy when i arrive home from work,hes my buddy,likes to sit on my hand while i play the xbox too.his toenail hasnt grown back..another cool habit is that he has a new toy witha small bell on it,if you want him to go back into his cage no matter where he is in the room you just have to ring his bell and he flys stright back into the cage!!! neat i thought......and very handy when you need to lock him away in a rush...take care all

another update,all is cool with jim,he had a visit to the vets today and got a clean bill of health,apparently the new feathers coming through might of been bothering him,but hes fine now,very funny sitting in the waiting room with him wolf whistling away :hap:

okay thats me up for the night keeping an eye on him,time to get some coffee.

no they are new feathers growing through,i noticed a different noise while he was flying too,im just glad hes feeling better,he really is a good mate

okay i have an update,jim is apparently better!!! hes talking away,wolf whistling and flying around,i kept him with me holding him while i watched tv,he stayed with me for about 4 hours then he started to pick up. Now hes back to normal,strange eh,but i am very very relieved. i have noticed that both wings have new feather stumps at the very ends,filled with blood and he is fiddling with them quite a bit,maybe this was bothering him?

i cant ,closest vet is 60 miles away and its nighttime here now. any ideas what could be wrong,maybe its a puberty phase!

:wine he is not himself tonight at all,he hasnt talked or tweeted at me,he is puffed up all the time and his feet are freezing,i hope he s not too bad

my jim has been speaking for a few months and ive had him for say 4 months,all i do is talk to him all the time im near him and hes picked it up,phrases include "jim good boy" "hello" "what you doing" and wolf whistles

its very funny to watch too....he grabs hold of it while rubbing himself on the rope perch and sqwarking out in delight,i told the wife i should record it and put it up here but she said to my astonishment not too becuase it would embaress jim!!!!! i found that comment very funny

he has loads of fun that toy i bought from you mate,he gets very friendly with it if you know what i mean

yeah its his "wot u lookin at" face! dont see it often though.

if you take a look at the reflection picture you can just make out the tips of his wing feathers and tail have a red tint to them!!!

heres some new pics of jim taken earlier... here he is sitting on my vest,he likes to sit here. here he is chirping away.. and again chatting to me from top of his cage evil look!!! loving himself...loads of head bobbing going on and his other fav perch

yes very relieved,its been clear all day.

hes 100% american pied then becuase as the description says"clownish" and jim is def a clown!!

got up today,checked him out and his nostrils are totally clear?? about when will his cere change blue??

thats a problem,not one around here for 60 miles

its not a husk,at least i dont think so as its not moving now and his nostril is almost closed??

he seems to be okay though,still yapping away and playing about.i will keep an eye on him to see if his behaviour changes

i think jim is in for a cold,i can see inside his nostril when hes breathing something is blocking the opening and moves everytime he breathes?
