  1. Just a note, as for the dog it depends on the breed or the dominante behavior the dog displays. Welcome to our forums.

    gorgeous and welcome aboard
  6. remember we are on this earth for a short time and whatever our purpose it when we pass from this earth our purpose has been finished in a physical form but never taken from our hearts. We recently lost our 18 yr old dog and the pain is very fresh so I completely know what you are going through. You have done so much for him as he you never thing a thought that you could have done more - he will rest on your shoulder everyday and in your heart is a spot held forever for little Jim.
  7. Bea from what I read in Karen's article that it can be treated but it can harm the immune system so that is something when Oz pulls through and is healthy to discuss with the vet. Additional vitamins to boost his innume system but certain ones that act together you don't want filler veggies but those that can boost the immune system. I remember Terri saying she was reading an excellent book all about budgie nutrition. Thinking of you. I agree with Karen too treating everyone and especially if he was exposed to the new babies.

Welcome to our forums Let me add some answers and I know others will also add too. Him snuggling up to you when you are humming is very normal. You are a budgie in his mind and it is comforting and being close to the face is very natural for a budgie. Don't be surprise if he tries to feed you or even regurgitate seed for you this is common. Merlin and Pretty do this all the time to each other. Merlin sings to Pretty and he gets all starry eyed . Sound like is gets possive of his human and that is normal especially during hormonal stages. Ignoring the bites is the best way, reacting is what he expects so ignoring his attempts.
  9. hugs sweetie, I remember he was sick when you got him to a couple days later. I do hope he is okay, I wonder if this is something that is laying dorminant in him and come with stress? Do you feel he has been stress by the tiels or maybe the new babies (has he seen them?)
  10. hugs we will be thinking about you and Jim

  13. If that doesn't work I know that Robin aka Pheobe takes her Coco to the vet for hormone shots to decrease the egg laying. She has a hen that lays all the time, if she doesn't see this post you could PM her.

and I couldn't see adding 2 more to that cage is that now silly (Laughing out loud) because truly it gives them great space.
  18. It would be a female because the female can't hid a sex linked gene so your thinking is right.

  23. they are looking great
  24. Jim is so young to have arthritis I would (me personally) question that diagnosis and being a budgie breeder for 30 yrs doesn't give you the degree that an avian vet has (please don't take that wrong being a breeder for years gives you ALLOT of experience). Again Jim being so young I tend to wonder about that.
