glad to hear he is better, I have been following the post
  6. did you take her to the vet? Early here I thought you said you did - I can't remember. Worms possible?
  7. I haven't had anyone have a blind budgie that I remember on here but tumors in budgies are sadly very common. I would work on making sure that you don't startle him when you come up to his cage so when you approach from another room start to whistle, say his name, say I am coming whichever so he knows that you are coming and not just bam you are there. I would keep his wings clipped and if you want to let him out only in the same room and in a small area. Blindness is a disability but animals learn to cope, adjust very quickly if you work with it toward the positive and not feel sorry for the animal. In my opinion he will be just fine the tumor is really the concern more then the blindness. You have such a special little guy, enjoy him.
  8. Oh boy....I personally would heve the eggs addled and replace with fake because not only are they related closely they are too young I believe to be breeding. This is why I personally always suggest to people to hav same sex budgies if they want two so there are no opps (but you didn't know) but just talking out loud here. I am sure others will come on and give you some good solid advice too.
  9. good eye Libby, I thought I saw opaline in the 2nd one but I didn't mention it and completely missed the spangling in the 3rd one.
  10. very good to hear.
  11. ask anytime, Niketa is a husky to heart, exercise and give them something to do to pull makes for a happier husky for sure, don't let them pull too heavy until around 2y old as they are still growing. She is a dominant female so we are careful when we introduce her to new dogs. She has her quirks, we love to make her howl .

  14. 1. I am not sure about the TCB part but a yellow face violet opaline yes 2. Violet Dominant Clearflight Pied 3. Violet Dominant Clearflighted Pied I would assume that they are all sibling because of the coloring and the mutations food for thought when you breed. They are beautiful
  15. they are beautiful, I think the first one looks like a skyblue clearwing (whitewing) I agree with Kaz about not being a double factor spangle, maybe a single
  16. yep

  19. yes again BIGGEST HUGS
  20. Their diet is really quite different then that of our seed eating birds, so my advice is to really read up on their diet that is so very important. Congrats.
  21. Good thing you found her when you did gosh knows what her fate could have been, glad the RSPCA and police are getting involved if they did quicker there would not be so many animals suffering for such long periods of time.
  22. SW they have a double coat like your German Shephards, Malamutes, even Pomerians etc...and what happens is during the winter the undercoat gets really thick to keep them warm (no matter where they live) and then in the early summer the undercoat starts to come out in chucks hence blow the coat, I use an undercoat rake to brush her out and it lasts for a couple months probably still summer is over and then again they keep their coat starting in the fall. It is nice because in the winter months she barely sheds (she doesn't shed all year round like say a dalamation) only for that blow out but let me tell you it makes up 10x for not shedding. Another nice feature about this breed is they don't get that doggy order like some of the shorter breeds too that hair helps keep them really oderless but it doesn't help allergy suffers .
  23. wonderful pictures, I do hope you submited one for Budgie of the Month
