It is just a few mist sprinklers that shoot into one side of the aviary away from food sources. The birds really like it. Edited December 26, 2007 by Little one Link to comment

If you have an avairy you can lightly mist or spray them down when they are hot. I point the hose in a corner of ther aviary and the ones that want it or need it come fly through. Disease transfers from wet soil in the ground if it is there. I have been spraying my birds every hot day with no troubles. Link to comment

When setting up a system like this it is important to be sure that the hose is not sitting in the sun with water resting in and then turned straight on without clearing the hose first as the water that comes out will be VERY hot. There are a few options, insulate the hoses (or bury them), make sure water cannot sit in the hose by having no loops in the hose where water can sit and disconnecting it from the faucet after use so the water drains out of the hose or clearing the hot water out of the hose ppointing it away from the budgies until cold water comes though.
