Guest Phoebe
Glad everything worked out and once, again, we learned something. I do provide a little grit/sand occasionally but not every day to the ones who have have the tendency to abuse it. Edited July 23, 2006 by Phoebe Link to comment

I'll do it once a month maybe just for a while. Link to comment

I now of top breeders that also have stopped giving grit and sand. There is one breeder in England that over the last twenty years has never given grit or sand and has never had and problems due to it. Link to comment

It's just confusing - most of the budgie books say that sand or grit is very important for them and must always be in their cage Link to comment
Guest Phoebe
:fear I know, it is very confusing. A girl I used to work with told me her budgie died as she didn't know any better and didn't provide it with grit/sand. Now, who told her this, I do not know. I still provide it in limited quantities but some people swear by it and others don't, isn't life grand. :book: Link to comment
