Maybe its scabbing over and him preening is just speading the dried blood making it look worse - I would definitely get him down to the vets later on then - if anything it will put your mind at rest eh?

What did the vets say, Ive no idea what they will do to him but if it was me I would take him down - is there anyway you can get a taxi down there. I think the lamp is a good idea. I really hope he is okay its really good that he is eating - I wonder what happened to the feather to make it bleed.

Is there anyway you can get him to a vets and get him checked out now or is it night time there. I would get him there asap just to be on the safe side. How is he in himself?
  4. Thanks Bea, Plus it has been 30 degrees here for the past 3 days which is not normal for England even in mid summer and they have been stuck in the house while Im at work so I guess if its hot they be drinking more too and eating more water based foods maybe. Im glad its nothing serious.
  5. Poops are getting better but Ive a couple of not very good at all pics of them as you can see they are solid but have the green stain around.
  6. How could someone dump that gorgeous adorable thing - I hope you make him all better Mand he is lovely a younger version of my Maxwell.
  7. Thanks Rainbow thats a bit more reassuring. Candy has this morning still got green poops but not runny but as you said Rainbow they have a wet ring around them which has stained the paper towel green but the poop is perfectly formed. Ive taken celery out today to see if that one is maybe the cause.
  8. Dam I dont know how to do that and wanted to enter this month - best go searching how to make web servers.
  9. Is it Julies I never knew that Ive been using it for months!
  10. I voted paper towel or as I call it kitchen roll hehe, I do however use newspaper under the grill on the big cage and paper towel on top of it (they hate the grill) and the white monitors the poops really well and value kitchen roll here isnt very expensive although more expensive than newspaper!
  11. Your right Bea - he isnt looking ill or not eating or not been barmy which are all perfectly normal Candy things to do so I guess I will just monitor them for the next few days and see if we get any changes, if I get any more concerned I'll try take a picture for your opinions!
  12. Thanks Bea - it isnt runny or loose at all just perfect formation just green, this only started yesterday and has been green all morning (Ive just rung home) I reckon if its something he has eaten it will be out of his system by this evening and if not Im at a loss as to what it might be.
  13. I have always done this as I thought it was good for them maybe Im best only giving them one piece of a veg a day swapping them around and see if the poop changes, I could understand if it was runny there would something wrong but its not, not at all.
  14. Oh right I thought I was meant to offer fresh fruit and veg everyday and I do fresh twice daily, I only give them a celery stick some carrot, spinach and apple. Maybe he had a massive spinach eating session or something because other than it being greeny colour its not diarrhoea.
  15. I noticed this morning that Candys poop was slightly green - it wasnt however runny and was formed perfectly with the urine ring in - just a bit green. Does this sound like a problem or something she has eaten. They have green veg everyday and its always eaten but have never seen it this green. He is his normal self as usual. I just wondered what may have caused this slight colour change.
  16. Yeah thanks he loves being out which Im pleased about - I saw Sparkys little adventure too see he is coming along great too!
  17. At last Maxwell was out of quarantine properly at the weekend. Unfortunately I forgot to borrow the work camera so no pics but am using it this weekend so dont you all worry! Anyways Max was so eager to get at them so I introduced them to the big cage at first, Candy loved him (he loves everyone even Patty!) but Bobby who is my little bully boy was petrified just goes to show - he then proceeded to act brave and stand up to the new boy but Maxwell wasnt having any of it he stood his ground and wouldnt be picked on by Bully Bobby - things have been pretty much the same last day or so. Its his turn to have some time with Georgy tonight, Im hoping for good results as George is very timid. Im leaving the big one Patty until last I have no idea how she will react, but going by her recent behaviour Im hoping its going to be good.!
  18. Hey thanks everyone Candy is doing fine now wasnt as worse as I first imagined - it was a bit sore but no blood was drawn so I bathed it for him in a bit of lukewarm water and not long afterwards he was using it again. The next day he was back to normal. Was just a prank that went wrong I think as they never fight more than a few playful kicks. All is calm now anyways. Thanks for all your well wishes.
  19. Just had a call from my partner it seems Bobby has somehow attacked Candy and hurt his foot and now he will only perch on one foot, Ive just range back and he is now using both feet but will still hop onto one foot now and again . Can someone please tell me what damage this sounds like - I dont get off work for another 2 hours and am far too worried and impatient to wait to see for myself. It sounds like Bobby has grabbed it and wouldnt let go I dont think its broken as he is using it. Ive booked a vets appointment for tomorrow even if I dont need it.

Aww isnt that cute I hope Maxwell will be as well behaved when he joins the big cage at the weekend. Isnt it cute how they have their favourite swings - Candy has this red one with bells on was about 50p I think tatty little thing but he adores it!

Great cage Julie when will they be introduced to it. Mine love those little landing platforms like youve got, Bobby likes to sit on the perch next to it and twang them - Ive had 2 broke because of him already hehe!

Great thats your getting your birdy a new friend. That cage looks way too small to me for two birds, I would definitely think about getting one at least twice the size so there is plenty of room for them to exercise if they are going to be left alone in their cage for long periods. Hope this helps!
  24. I'll try get one of him tonight - I think Im making a mountain out of a mole hill - it probably isnt half as bad as I think but I will attempt to catch the little rascal for peoples opinions.
  25. To be honest he isnt acting strange and is eating and drinking well, no clicking sounds when breathing either or tail bobbing could be just a change in colour. I also said beak distortion was a sign - I thought it said discoloured hehe!
